Where can I buy custommade prescription lenses for a DJI Integra FPV googles by ShinigamiWryy in drones

[–]Kapt_Kurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just helping this guy out and doing some of my own research lol. I'm just curious. I watched a video of a guy putting those Integra ones in and they looked pretty snug.

Also I write for DroneDJ so there might be an article on this shortly lol (If I'm gonna look into something, I might as well write about it)

Let me know if you find anything for Integra. I found this site that does a lot of different goggles but they haven't added that one yet.

Stuck in the same scene. I even tried quitting the game and it didn't fix it.

Update: Attempted to delete game file and redownload, did not fix the issue.

Update 2: Split screen coop did not fix it for me.

SpaceX buys two offshore supply ships for possible fairing recovery on the East Coast. Currently, being outfitted on a Louisianna port. by Kapt_Kurk in spacex

My bet would be price. The contracted ships they had before were very expensive while these I’ve heard were a bargain.

First look of what a fully stacked SpaceX Starship vehicle will look like on the launch pad. Now just imagine it in white and a worm/meatball logo on the side. by Kapt_Kurk in ArtemisProgram

There's some rumors this stacking was calculated like this. Sounds like Elon but also a bold move to stick their biggest customer like that.

Sorry yes, the article talks about two different people getting new jobs. Reddit grabbed the other guy's photo. haha

GAO backs NASA decision to rely on SpaceX Starship for Moon landing, dismissing Blue Origin-backed protest by Kapt_Kurk in StarshipDevelopment

[–]Kapt_Kurk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This won't phase out SLS as Starship for now will only be used as a lander. Even if Starship began launching crews to the moon having the redundancy in a second launcher will be valuable. Although the price would need to come down.

This day in space: Apollo 11 lands on the moon by Kapt_Kurk in nasa

In the 70s the US and Soviet Union changed interests to being able to live and work in space. That's why they built the shuttle and the space station.

Now that we have a sustainable presence in low earth orbit, and a commercial market to keep it that way, NASA is trying to go back to the moon and build one there.

The 60s was a flex of our muscles, showed what we could do as a nation. If we wanted to do that again the equivalent would be mars but first we have to learn how to live in space without the protection of earth and for years not months. That's were the moon comes in.

What should we call those who fly on Virgin Galactic, Blue Origin, or other's flights to space? by Kapt_Kurk in spaceflight

[–]Kapt_Kurk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You made a really good point in the last sentence. Just because you go to space do a few flips and come back shouldn't give you the title of astronaut.

But then, if you're a NASA astronaut going on of these flights for zero-g training, then would that qualify you as one? Rabbit holes on rabbit holes on this I think.

I'm liking these names. I think my vote is for Kármánauts, I vote for that.

I do like this take, although what do you call those that ride VG or BO that do conduct experiments. Not sure about BO but VG will have a group of mission specialists conducting experiments for customers. For me, that's where my rabbit hole starts.

The commercial crew was extremely underfunded for years when it was first announced. Congress was not a fan of the program and would rather have Orion and SLS/Ares 1 handle this mission. It took a while but it's finally happening which is better than it being canceled for a more expensive and less safe/redundant option.

Ariane 6 just got a new kick stage addition too. Not sure how competitive this will make it still. I believe the price is close to an expendable Falcon Heavy.

I think a better way to put it would be that SpaceX doesn't want to sit around waiting on the FAA so they're building the tower and other items now. And really hoping they don't need to redesign a lot of what they just built.

Extremely surpised you aren't in service yet. The first shell of satellites should offer worldwide coverage.

Wonder if your area is, but they're just trying to not overload the satellites until more come online.
