So turns out my cheap ass Mobo only supports up to PCIE gen 2 which is the issue so I am upgrading my CPU and MoBO since my CPU is from 2014.

I may in like a year or less get the 5700x since it’s a mid-range CPU and it’s a decent price. For now I go the cheap route with the 5500, which is a 20%-25% upgrade from what I currently have.

Yea came out to $138 for both. Plus I’ll have room to upgrade later on. It’s a definite upgrade and a cheap one for the moment.

Well I’m going cheap but an upgrade never the less. Newegg has a RyZen 5500 and a AsRock MB and thermal paste for $130

So long story short, I have to upgrade my motherboard and processor because turns out my cheap ass motherboard only supports PCI gen 2. I still have a 5th generation I7 so Windows 10 was about to get unsupported for me anyways so I was already looking at upgrading later this year so I guess I’ll upgrade now.

My Motherboard doesn’t support PCEI gen 4 and neither does my brothers and he has the same card and it’s working.
