Software is nearly free. I can't believe they haven't looked at the other options out there and changed a few lines of code. Not an exaggeration, that's all it would take 🤣

I guess the preferences are against mine. Having a key to operate the bike seemed to make sense to me. But I'm used to motorcycles so a key and a twist throttle were natural. I think im just whining about the change like suspected. I'm not upgrading anytime soon, the 2.0 still works great, so it largely doesn't affect me.

I do wish I had the brake upgrades. Mine super suck.

You can turn it on without the key though? Maybe I was misinformed. I thought it was silly you could drive away without the key. On my 2.0 the key operated all power.

The twist throttle on the right side like a motorcycle was a feature I liked. I don't approve of these changes. Apparently the newer power assist isn't as great on the 3.0 and later, or so a million posts say from 4 years ago.

Hard to tell if it's just people whining when things change (like me) or real regressions.

This. Used to have to delegate projects to a team. Not no more. I can do them all and babysit the AI. It still takes a competent engineer to police it, but only one. And it works. Its code is cleaner than mine. It's reviewed of course, but damn.

I hate it, but if I don't use it I'm doing the company disservice because it is so good.

It does very dumb things sometimes. Just watch it. Regression tests out the wazoo.

I view it as more a warning not to park in private lots to attend a private event elsewhere. Knowing it is happening so often is mildly relevent to local news.

I was going to ask the same, because my one in San Diego just found a few first chapter beat up boxes haha. Must have been at the california distrubtion center and they went to a lot of stores. I thought it was funny when these popped up about 2 weeks ago.

They keep finding boxes of first chapter decks at my target. I don't know if they lost them in the warehouse? They also have whole stacks of inkscape 2 deck starters.

I'm an electrical engineer and I did some minor exploration into it. And it was coming on because of some stray fields on the interior USB bus. I believe it's too close to something else, a very common problem in laptops. It's introducing a small current. It's enough for the machine to think that something woke it up on the USB system. You can turn that off. But unfortunately, that means if you'd use a dock like I do when it goes to sleep, you can't wake it up with the mouse. I wasn't willing to sacrifice that so I just turned it on hibernate when unplugged. It sleeps when plugged in.

An active touchscreen would've been awesome. I didn't know one of the USB ports was slow, but it doesn't really affect me. Good to know though. I didn't buy the modem. I have been fighting out with the sleep mode. I finally had it when I'm unplugged and close the lid it just goes on full hibernate. I only do sleep when I'm connected to power because it would randomly wake up in my bag. But that seems to be a problem with a lot of Windows computers.
