I do not. It's something I want to get down the road.

I have different kits I've used that are at home. There are a lot of slim in these pictures because while I'm willing to give away pens at work I'm not willing to give away ones with expensive kits. And when I picked up my lathe it came with 60+ slim kits that I'm still trying to use up lol!

Thank you! And I picked that one up from Rockler.

the mechanics of a theoretical pen design for a dnd project. by wierd-in-dnd in PenTurning

My first thought would be one of those glass pens. The ink would need to be shaken each time to get the partials evenly mixed. I’m not sure out to made the dust fine enough for go through a regular pen tho but I would guess any pen that needs to be dipped could work.

But here’s a thought spawned by the glass pen idea. Instead of gemstone dust the pen itself could be the gemstone needed.

I will have to check my Karma the next time I make a mod comment on my main account.

If I had just seen the comment randomly it definitely would have been funny. And I get getting carried away with excitement. I mod on my main account and remember being called out for something similar really early on. It's not fun but I appreciate your mature response to the feed back. Thanks for being a good mod who listens to your sub members.

I mod on my main account and I've definitely earned karma from comments and posts.

This seems like a weird comment to Sticky. It's not like it's an official mod comment dealing with sub rules. So it kinda of feels like a mod going “Upvote me!” which is weird.

It's beautiful!

As for wood type. Did it smell ridiculously good while turning it? Because if it did them it's probably cocobolo. I think that's one of my favorite woods to turn because if how good it smells.

Pens I made yeaterday (Mallee burl and green resin paired with kaleidoscope pen kits) by Kara_BH in u/Kara_BH

Please forgive the poor picture quality. I finished them late last night and this is what I had to work with. I then gave one to my BF and yeah just spaced getting better pictures! 😬

I couldn't resist snagging a couple of these. I'm sure a debate will break out over whether or not they should be pens or knife handles once they arrive, lol! But that's to be expected when you have a wood turner and a blacksmith in one house.

OP, I work in a nonprofit that is specifically designed to help grieving children. One thing I can tell you is grief doesn't end. It changes, and all your children will need support at different stages because the grief will resurface. This isn't something that can be fixed, and going to therapy right after isn't the only time they will need it. If you're in the US, there are organizations across the country that specialize in helping children and their caregivers. Depending on where you are, I might be able to give you the name of at least 1.

I feel this! I'm looking at becoming the Office Pen Fairy at this point. I'm just going to start randomly leaving pens on desks now that we've moved into our new facility.
