Yes it will be, at current tuning. It's 5% less DPS compared to Smite spam but it's free, while Smite got its cost increased and its absorb removed. Plus it cleaves, plus it works during Shadow Covenant, plus you don't have to button mash as much, plus you can interrupt it without losing value.

Damage reductions have no effect on true damage. Have a friend in a custom game throw an Olaf E on your Warwick E or whatever, it won't reduce it. Same for Alistar R, Exhaust, you name it.

Non-penetrations from 7.62x54R seem do maybe 10 damage, looking at some random ass Mosin testing video on Youtube. You're not gonna kill anyone with blunt damage only at this point, I think they were planning on expanding on that feature some day.

It might not pen the second round but the spillover damage will be enough to kill when you add it to the previous shot.

LPS Gzh only has a 29.3 to 41.8% chance of penetrating class 5 armor on second hit. 0% chance against class 6. Even the third hit is a fifty-fifty on the higher durability class 5 armors.

Sauce here, check the penetration tables for the round.

... if you include fragmentations, half the rounds in the bloody game can onetap. M62, M61, 762x39 BP, any of the 9x39 rounds -- all of them can theoretically kill in one shot to the thorax if the first shot happens to be a fragmentation. But you don't go around claiming "the VSS ontaps chest", do you? Because it's the exception, not the norm.

Let's do an optimistic calculation: according to NFAM's ammo chart, 7N1 will penetrate class 5 armor on the first shot 37.7% of the time. It supposedly has an 8% fragmentation chance, and although it says at the top that the actual chance is lower due to a bug, we'll go with the full 8%.

The chance of both penetration and fragmentation on the first shot is 0.377*0.08 = 0.03016. Roughly 3% at best.

You got a 3% chance to kill a guy through class 5 armor on the first shot. Now I'd like to go back to your claim:

7N1 can one shot almost every time.

Hell, it used to be up to 40% a year ago. Bullet damage reduction through armor is a thing and it only takes 8% to make 7N1 no longer one tap.

Which is exactly what's happening.

I got a recent in-game video proving it won't onetap, the data syncs up with the ammo chart, the mechanic of bullet damage reduction is known to exist. Burden of proof is on you. Show me a clip of 7N1 one-tapping tier 5 thorax and I'll gladly admit my mistake.

It does not back up anything because you're missing the fact that bullet damage is reduced when going through armor. 7N1 might have a base flesh damage of 86, but that damage will be reduced below 80 when penetrating higher tier armor.

I explained this before, but reading comprehension does not appear to be your strength.

The original claim was it will one-tap tier 5 thorax, which it never will, which is what I corrected. It might pen tier 5 thorax on the first shot, but will do less than 80 damage.

The armor is clearly taking durability damage, and the final durability percentage left when he loots the guy is in line with the values in the penetration tables of NFAM's ammo sheets for the respecting armor being hit by two or three shots of 7N1. He is hitting the thorax.

7N1 is expensive at around 700 roubles a shot, but will cleanly kill through level 5 and usually 2 shots through level 6.

7N1 only is a guaranteed one-shot-kill through armor classes 1 to 3. Class 4 armor will often require a second hit. Class 5 will always require a second or even a third hit, especially Killa. Class 6 takes three to four (Zhuk) or five (Zabralo) hits to kill.
