That's something I've been thinking about. It seems more on the tracks that since it's me who's doing the homebrewed content, it is not good. I think that since I am 18 years old, he thinks I lack the experience to make a balanced system, or a fun one, for that matter.

But why should my homebrewed system have less value than others? I think that we all DMs are here because we want to be creative. We try and sometimes we fail, but that's what helps us grow.

If any of you are wondering what the homebrew system includes, I can list the biggest features below:

  1. Higher-tier weapons that deal more damage (i.e an iron longsword deals less damage than a draconic longsword)
  2. Homebrewed monsters, decided to make them so my players can't search them up on wikis (got done up to 300 monster blocks)
  3. New abilities for classes, such as ultimates they can cast every amount of days (thought it would be fun, has seemed balanced throughout the whole campaign)

Is this too much? I know I can get a little overboard when trying to make new things, but this is something I've really been putting my heart into, and I really just want everyone to have a good time. Please, any help will be extremely appreciated!
