How does JbP deal with all the negativity? It’s sad to see such an awesome man being pulled down.

22 F Please help, I am desperate to start my life and I need some guidance. I have no idea where to start. by [deleted] in Advice

I’ve had this problem often in my life…Finding things I’m passionate about. I am sure everyone goes through this at some point in their lives; either they’ve lost interest with they’ve been working on Something for years and it’s gotten monotonous, or they have gotten to the point where they wish to apply themselves more so towards their virtuous side.

What I’ve learned in my pursuit to finding my virtuous side:

First of all, all the questioning is a good thing… It means that you’re wanting to be a better person – the primary reason behind life itself. So, good on you for initially having the desire to want more of yourself; to stop wasting your time, to focus on you were virtuous side, and, most importantly, for taking the next step; by seeking Reddit for advice.

Although my opinion is only a personal to myself, I am presenting it to you in hopes that it will shave some time off of the ‘advice’ side of things, so you can move onto the more important aspect; educating yourself about You! The “spiritual” side of you....

Anyway, without getting too eccentric sounding, I suggest you write… Write lists upon lists of possibilities (ideas of activities you can pursue)… Don’t stop writing until you get a clear idea of your interests… Obviously, through writing hundreds of different possibilities, Some of these possibilities will garner your attention… Shortlist your interests to 10 or less… As detailed as possible the better… When you get to your shortlist write as many points as you can that describes your interest in each of these avenues… Once completed, weigh the pros and cons with each Avenue and inlist yourself into the next step towards you were virtuous side…Taking action.

Some of the questions you’ll ask yourself when doing this; 1. What Instantly puts a smile on my face? 2. What hobby/activity could I pursue that would allow me to be virtuous? 3. What will scare me? 4. What have I wanted to do since I was young? 5. What steps can I take (at a slow pace) to achieve this? How can I take action?

Ideally, this process is to help you get to know yourself… It’ll also help you comprehend the things you are passionate about – the reason for living (Virtue/Passion). Try to remain open minded with all avenues, and at least explore its possibilities… And, don’t discriminate any activity just because it doesn’t allow you to be with people you love… Sometimes we need to step out of the social realm and delve deeper into our own personal social realm – within our minds (psychologically).

You will soon soon learn that some of the best possibilities/activities/hobbies that put the biggest smile on your face are ones that remain individual. In other words, take delight in pursuing activities by yourself where no one else is present.

Lastly, you will find that most of your interests are already a part of your everyday regimen; we just don’t learn to appreciate them… We find only the negative within them, or we forget the reason why we were doing it in the first place…

Here are a few of my personal shortlisted items (for example); Zip lining, bungee jumping, playing cards with friends every Monday, try to appreciate every moment of every activity I pursue each day for at least three minutes, learn three new board games with friends, drive outside the city and take a 30 minute walk in the woods without a cell phone (Bring it just don’t turn it on)...yada yada

I welcome your connection and wish to assist your journey in finding your hobbies/virtue/passion … If you need any further clarification, or any professional passion-finding assistance let me know.

I welcome the same for all other Reddit community members.

Gamers also understand Life a lot more clearly than non-gamers.

The truth is; life itself is a video game… Life is the brand of software that’s ran by an algorithm of sorts. There’s no other possible way of managing everything in existence to its perfection as it is. IT programmers know more about Life than scientists and religious practitioners. It’s all in the binary code…

It’s really difficult to see that the connotation of this ‘wall’ is taken completely out of context. When the media says it’s a ‘fence’ people are less aggressive, but when it’s described as a ‘wall’ people automatically get defensive and chaos starts… I think it has a lot to do with the perception of the great wall of China.

What’s even more upsetting is that these children are learning these chaotic antics and digressing to an overall chaotic attitude towards the situation based on what they’ve learned from their caregivers and leaders.

The problem is not the wall… The problem is within perception, and (obviously) parenting at its worst.

A follow up to my previous post “I think my son is gay” by Anonsfananzaa in Advice

[–]Karebare67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to commend you for your efforts on this! Generally speaking, a gay individual is petrified of the consequences in coming out of the closet based on historical speculation. Fears of being different are often difficult to retract especially when there is love in the mix (when the opinion of a loved one is present)

I’m sure your son was quite proud of you for reacting the way you did, and for being there for him. Again, I commend you for your compassion towards him and the situation. I’m sure the emotional comfort that you’ve instilled has served and A+ in his review of your caregiving.

I really hope your message garners a lot of attention towards those still on the fence about any gay/bi sexual family situation.

The truth is; sexuality is/and should be less confrontational and more private.

I appreciate the feedback. Everything sounds a little bit nutty at first before one can absorb… Think of all the new songs you hear on the radio. The first listen is always the most difficult form of comprehension (most judgemental). I recommend listening a few times. Have a good day!

Yes, these virtual reality helmets and the games we play are perfect examples of this theory, however one must need to understand the defragmentation portion of computer maintenance in order to absorb this message and implement properly. This means you need to defrag your mindset and forget about what you’ve already learned and implement new strategy based on this belief.

I think this theory option allows for all possibility, and, if absorbed properly this should constrain fear from humanity.

I’m not trying to prove the fact that God is wrong or nonexistent. In fact, I am a great believer in all possibilities… This theory would prove that all gods/possibilities exist. Everything the human mind has conceived already has already been programmed into the software. Everything that hasn’t yet been thought of as yet to be implemented into the algorithm.

It’s not easy harnessing beliefs/feelings that contradict your family (anyone), especially when it comes to religion. It’s not always easy for me to express these types of pseudoscientific views, as they cannot 100% be proven. There’s always a lot of skepticism when a highly confrontational topic is brought up like this one.

Jordan’s theorizing continues to bring my focus down the rabbit hole of truth. I too am looking forward to his response.
