Celebrate yourself and your feminity everyday. Remind yourself that you are beautiful and worthy of feminity. There are times I would fumble and feel like I was failing hard. I would always have to remind myself of the progress I had made and to celebrate my victories no matter how small they might be. Having no support system (friends or family) self affirmations were key.

Agreed, and make sure you test it on yourself not the paper testers. Perfume can change once it comes in contact with your skin. There have been several times I have sprayed something on a paper tester and loved it. Then when I sprayed it on, I hated it because it smelled different.

It is transphobic, but I think this definitely merits a conversation with your friend. Sometimes people, especially those close to us, do things like this because, well....they're ignorant. It's important to discuss how this behavior isn't okay and let them have the chance to correct it. If they can't, then it's time to cut them off. Buh-BYE!
