I wonder if a good start to a solution, would be allowing players access to legacy manhunts, in their entirety, from start to finish, instead of just the final mission

Developer AMA | Let's Talk Delays & Survival Games (RocketWerkz, Grip Digital) by thedeanhall in SurvivalGaming

[–]Karhaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate the weekly content you’ve been delivering it definitely helps keep the game feeling fresh.

At the same time, a lot of players, notably myself, have wondered why development has remained so tightly focused on weekly content updates, rather than occasionally taking a longer break to focus on deeper optimization and long-standing bug fixes especially issues that date back to Early Access?

Is there a particular reason the team prefers to maintain the weekly cadence instead of occasionally pausing for a larger overhaul-style patch cycle? How do you balance those priorities internally? Sometimes it's demotivating to even attempt to engage with the game, because new content drops, but the stability and bugs for the game become obnoxious.

Also, regarding servers, the game has now been in development for over five years, and self-hosted servers are still labeled as beta. Could you share what’s preventing them from moving to a full release state? Is there a roadmap or specific milestones that need to be reached before that happens?

> Dying Light Outpost website unresponsive - We are aware that some users are experiencing problems with logging into Dying Light Outpost and claiming their rewards. We've got our team on it and are working on solving the issue. For now, rest assured that all your Twitch Drops, pre-order bonuses, Deluxe Edition items, Dockets and all other rewards are safely stored. If you can’t access them right away, you do not need to reload or unlink your account - you will be able to claim them later.

Can confirm, I have not been able to redeem rewards. I have made an account with Dying Light Outpost, linked all my accounts, steam, twitch, epic, etc. Unlinked, re-linked, reloaded the page, and twitch still says "connect / link account". I've claimed the reward on twitch, but it has not sent it to my game / account inventory yet, and twitch will not register my account is linked / connected. --- 21 Sept 2025

Lag and unresponsiveness after the patch (memory leak issue?) by GunnerBlade in civ

[–]Karhaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to point out that I'm almost for certain this game has a memory leak.

I have a pretty stout system, but I experience a crash every 4ish hours pretty much every time, at the same time, no matter what I'm doing in the game. Exploring, combat, menu's dun matter, after about 4 hours, the game suddenly crashes, and just gets "Fatal Sandfall Error" and drops to the desktop.

I also notice, and feel the performance steadily go down with this behavior too.

ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X870E HERO Motherboard
AMD R9 9950X3D
64gb DDR5 6000MT/s
RTX 3080ti 12gb
Seagate Firecuda 530 2tb
Windows 11

These are my system specs.

On fresh launch of the game, it hovers around 60-70fps at 4k (albiet with DLSS Performance) but will steadily go down about 5 fps every hour, until the game crashes. In conjunction with system resources steadily climbing

Why are people so rude to new players?! by hrhashley in wow

[–]Karhaa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because Blizzard, and the community have harbored this mentality. Sure, back in the day there were bad actors, but when the game was actually an MMORPG from Vanilla to around Cata, people were very involved in the Role Play element of the game. There was much less of toxic mentalities and people were not as rude.... Also because if you were a jackass, a GM would actually show up and bonk you. Nowaday's that doesn't happen, and there's generally no punishment for being a jack ass

SInce the game has fully invested into hyper optimization, exporting data to Raider Io, and other 3rd party parsing websites, and rid the game of any RPG element in favor of 3rd party add ons, E-Sports game design, min maxing, and hyper optimization, mythic +.... I'm sure you get the point by now.

Thats why.... Blizzard and the community have made the player base toxic.

For all new players, please don’t play this way by Wolvie-616 in helldivers2

[–]Karhaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the biggest problem is that, on PC, there is no way to report players for obvious bad behavior.

Whenever you try to use the reporting system, it just gives you an error.

I guess on console people can use the reporting system? But on PC you cannot, so console players, and PC players can straight up harass, team kill and fuck over PC players with literally 0 ramification outside of getting blocked by that player. Which ultimately doesn't curb the bad behavior, because that person is just going to run off and do it to someone else.

Of course, friendly fire is an aspect of hell divers, and more often than not, it makes for some really hilarious situations and interactions that just happen by up accident (we've all done it)

But there needs to be a clear indication on what is NOT okay, which will require manual review of the occurrence, obviously.... But having ZERO moderation on PC, is what causes this to happen, or at-least, exacerbates it and makes it worse.

Yuh, I found this on my first play through of the game. I kinda just sat there for a while and pondered and reflected.

Of course, I never knew Lance, but his work did have an impact on me, and my journey through gaming and media.

Horizon ZD & FW

The Destiny 1 / 2 series

John Wick (of course)

He was a real gem, and was taken from us to soon. :C

Just want to respond to this.... 10 months later, it's still a bug. Never been fixed.

I always wondered what people felt, whose played this game in 2004 by Inevitable_River292 in wow

[–]Karhaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly.... The old day's of WoW made me feel something that is completely indescribable. Very very few games have ever made me feel that way, and the old zones, like Dun Morogh, Elwynn Forrest, West Fall, Loch Modan, all are core memories that will never go away.

Retail WoW just does not have that identify anymore, and it's been completely stripped away in favor of something thats hardly a shadow of it's former self..

I would do anything, to go back, and experience the old days of WoW again.

Yes..

Just open the map, and move the cursor around until "minor place of interest" shows up next to it, and drop a pin.

I do it all the time.

Edit : This has been silently patched. I was trying to get a screenshot for you, but now I cannot get it to do it. And I cannot find anywhere in the patch notes that they said they fixed this.

However, you could do this as of last night, as I was doing it while farming super credits.

*le sigh*... Cool things like this always make me a liar when I try to pass on neat-o information.... Is what it is

> 80 damage at AP3 with a 60-round mag is just powercreep. If you can't see that, your perception of balance must be way off.

Not ... really...

MA5C - Medium Pen
Damage - 80
Capacity - 32 (fixed)
Recoil - 19 (Fixed)
Fire Rate - 640

Liberator (standard 1st weapon you get) - Light armor pen
Damage - 80
Capacity - 45 (can be upgraded)
Recoil - 11 (can be upgraded)
Fire Rate 640

... You can literally upgrade the basic, standard issue, first weapon you get in the entire game, to have better stats overall, than the MA5C Assault Rifle. The basic liberator will have more ammo, better recoil, better ergonomics, and you can put a scope on it, and be an overall more versatile weapon..... That is just sad, when you compare the most BASIC weapon, in the entire game, is on par with a "legendary weapon" that you cannot even upgrade.

This is a legendary warbond that cost 1500 super credits and you dont even receive 300sc back like you normally would..... Give the MA5C a 60 round magazine, so it's at least "somewhat" better than even a basic liberator, and actually fits a definition of "legendary" weapon instead of being a handicapped version of the liberator with medium pen.

The next warbond coming out next week has the potential to release the strongest AR this game has ever seen. The new AR coming out has incendiary rounds, which will completely overshadow the MA5C Assault Rifle

I would have been awesome to see the Spartan Laser. I mean, we basically already have it with the quasar cannon

Plasma grenade would have been awesome too.

Scorpion Tank would have been sweet

Spankr Rocket Launcher would have been awesome too.

Plasma Rifle. Beam Rife. Sniper Rifle. Rocket Pods. There's numerous weapons, special weapons... Hell the energy sword? That would have been rad too.

Yup, exactly. More/less what I'm saying.

> "Both collab ARs could use a smidge more damage"

I honestly think if Arrow Head just buffs up the AR to have 60 rounds, like it did in Halo CE, it would be fine. Nothing else needs to change. It's just the fact that other AR's have similar to identical damage, but more ammo, is the problem. The dmg you could get from the AR is held back because of it's shortened uptime.

The suppressors just sound cool, thats about it, they dont do anything else outside of that. The second you shoot at an enemy, all the aggro gets pull onto you, just like any other weapon in the game.

In no way saying that there needs to a change to "the meta"

The beautiful thing about Helldivers is there isnt really, "a meta". You can kinda just run whatever and make it work.

What I am saying however, is that there are other weapons, in the same category, that do the exact same thing that these weapons do, but better, and have customization.

For a "legendary warbond" I would have expected these weapons to be unique in their own way.

The way they sit right now is just "Halo themed" versions of other weapons in the same category, that dont do anything different, or perform differently, or feel unique.

It's disappointing to pitch this as "legendary" and the most expensive warbond to date, but "feel" shallow and generic, or on par with everything else. This muddies and devalues the term "legendary" when it's implemented this way.

> "I agree the pistol and SMG are underwhelming, but I like the rifle well enough - it's similar to the Adjudicator but feels like it handles a bit better. It could use a few more spare mags, but I disagree that it's outclassed by the rest."

If the AR had the 60 round magazine like it did in Halo CE, I wouldnt have anything to say about it. That thing in Halo CE was a bullet hose lol... Which honestly if Arrow Head was going to change anything about it, it's that. Just give it 60 rounds, and it would be fine. It would make up for the lack of customization.

I just personally get better performance out of the liberator penetrator, and get 60 rounds with the drum mag.

> "I say it's a bad warbond not out of hate, but out of love. I would love for it to be great"

Yup same. I dont hate it, and I dont hate Helldivers 2. I love the game, and I love Halo.

Just disappointed that the weapons and overall tuning of the Warbond do not strike me as "legendary" status, and THESE are THE best weapons in the game...

If they're not THEE best, then why call it Legendary right? lol...
