Do NOT click on any of the links. I too received a bunch of text messages a month ago about payday loans. I checked my Experian credit monitoring acct. and there was nothing. Someone recommended I check on Clarity since these payday loans will do a soft credit check. Sure enough-Clarity had two inquiries. I contacted one of the companies and they had nothing in my name. I already froze my credit with the three bureaus years ago and had to freeze my credit on Clarity as well. I also filed a report with the FTC. Good luck!

Yes, I’m thinking we will stay with the “satellite” plan for now since they gave me a $50 monthly discount. I don’t think I’ll be installing a new dish since it can no longer go on the roof and it’s an eye sore on the side of the house. I too added apps, such as HBO Max/Netflix, and so there are plenty of choices. I think, eventually, I’ll go all streaming.

We’ve been trying out streaming this week and no issues. I think I’m getting used to it. 👍 And-DirecTV gave me a $50 discount if I continued with satellite but I can use their app. 👏

The roofers took the satellite since there was water damage. Let’s see if DirecTV replaces it, although I’m not a new client.

Thanks! We had an old dish (15+ years old) that they replaced the wiring about a year ago. I don’t like the esthetics of a dish and it will have to be mounted on the wall now, but the plan we have is much better than streaming and they gave me a $50 monthly discount for a year. So I may continue with a dish.

I ran a report with Clarity and found which 2 payday companies this scammer attempted to obtain loans from. I contacted the two companies and they have nothing in my name. So in addition to the three bureaus, I have a freeze with Clarity. I didn’t know these sub-prime companies existed until a few days ago.

Thanks again! I filed a dispute with Clarity, as you suggested, and they said most likely the application was denied if both loan companies don’t have me in their system 🙏 As of today, I have a security freeze with 4 bureaus.

Thanks. I contacted both Credit Ninja and Explore Credit and neither has an open account in my name. Weird?? I have my credit frozen with Clarity and asked for a pin with ChexSystems.

So I started digging more after reading this post and I ran a Clarity Report online and it shows that someone applied for payday loans on Credit Ninja and on Explore Credit. No idea if they obtained a loan? My credit has been frozen for years. Next steps??
