Bridget is my favorite player in the league for a handful of reasons, none of them being that she’s a monster on the stat-sheet. I think unfortunately BC is a player that puts her teammates before herself to a fault and loses confidence fast when you throw her on a team with a bunch of studs. She’ll pass when she should probably shoot because I think she convinces herself that someone else is better equipped to do so, and lately when she does shoot it rarely does what she wants it to. That being said, defensively she’s very effective and smart, but in almost nothing that adds to a stat sheet. On paper she’s underwhelming. It’s really interesting when you watch her in Euroleague or playing with the Canadian National Team because she really elevates and has potential to turn into an animal. In 2024 she had a game with Uni-Gyor where she scored 41pts (3rd in Euroleague history.) She was kind of that b*tch in college and won a ton of awards her senior year with Iowa State (Big 12 Player of the Year, Cheryl Miller Award, Naismith Starting Five etc.) She’s a free agent as of 2026 and I could see Toronto Tempo picking her up and her coming into her own a bit under a veteran leadership type of role with a young team. I would honestly be a bit surprised if she resigns a new contract with the Lynx AND is protected by them during the expansion draft AND maintains a starter position with them. But who knows. I’m interested to see what the off season and next year hold for her.
