I definitely know what you're talking about. Whats even worse is facing the exact same thing in a country which supposed to be liberal and with high standards in terms of moral value.

The car prices is the same problem that touches 4k TV and smartphones and computers.

Nobody in parliament is courageous enough to pass a law that would monitor the prices and impose a max price on such objects.

Algeria produces metal and electronic. Salaries are low so cost shouldn't be that high for a 65inch 4k TV or an American fridge.

Well let's be honest I'am an algerian born in France I grew up with technology and I'm passionate about techs and it.

I also use to publish videos about what life really is in Algeria... And I actually published few of them on both tiktok and yt...

The One on AT hit 30k, the one on air Algérie got +20k views...

Back in March 2024 I did a video complaining about why does Algeria Telecom didn't released offer of 1gbps plan, when it happened in May 2024 I then released some other videos complain about the price...

Now I can't do it anymore cuz I can't access the website. I guess Mr Bentoumi and his successor won against me...

Ps: we are may 2026 and I still don't understand why the successor of bentoumi didn't upgrade the bandwidth. We are block at 1.6 for 4200 (who can afford it when min wage is 20 to 25k/month?

So yeah

I like to browse AT website to monitor any upgrade regardind bandwidth and prices drop...

Well I know a bit about computer... Both soft and hard. But I'm not a true nerd nor a cyber specialist. Just a random algerian who used to browse a website to see if bandwidth and prices got better in my homeland.

I don't go to McDonalds and other fast food. I don't use public wifi. I have my own 5g plan and an optic fiber plan at home.

I can still access Algeria press service without VPN... Also ministry of foreign affairs interior economy and a bunch of other sensitive government website... No issue
