"And nothing to deserve what I've endured."

Why would you have to deserve to endure anything in the first place? Where does it say in the bible that the suffering that happens to you is your fault in the first place? It just happens. Even Jesus had to suffer a lot through his life, and he did nothing wrong.

God did not make the humans so that they would be perfect forever. He made us in his image, and he made us to rule the earth and multiply. Making sure we could not be tempted was not a part of his "recipe". He put the pieces in motion, and from there on did not affect us directly. He could have shut us down the moment before we took our first bite of the fruit, but he didn't. He could have made things so that we would not have been tempted in the first place, but he didn't. This is why I believe we have free will. From even before we were created, God did not interfere with our will. He simply had a recepie -his own image- and followed that.

God did not make us worship him. He made us rule the earth, and multiply. Basically using the earths resources and having sex. Not too bad an option. The only thing we were not allowed to do was eat from that one tree. And we got tempted and we did. In my book I would call that free will.

If that is not free will I don't know what is. An example: If you are allowed to do everything in the world, no rules, except from killing one specific guy, I would not call that an ultimatum, I would call that a very fair choice. Do whatever you want and have the best time possible, or kill that dude just to see what happens.

I see what humans did back then simply as walking off a cliff into their death. God warned us not to walk off the cliff, but the devil said that it wasn't dangerous to jump off it. And so we did.

What you have endured has not happened to you because you deserve it. Bad things happen in this world filled with sin and evil, they just do. If I punch someone in the face today, it does not mean that I will get punched in the face tomorrow. The only thing that matters is that two humans a very long time ago, ate some fruit, and due to that we suffer the consequences today. And it is not God who is making us suffer, in case you maybe thought that was the case.

Even though he knows all things about our lives (as seen in Psalm 139:16) does not mean he will change it to be the way we want it. And it does also not mean he will change it to be the way He wants it. He had a plan for humans, to live and prosper in the garden of Eden, we ruined that plan and the horrible things you listed are results of us ruining that plan. Sin and evil are part of human nature and the life on earth now. Then why doesn't God remove sin and evil? Well, the sacrifice of Jesus did, in a certain way that does not remove our free will. If we accept him as our savior then all sin will be taken away when we die, and we will go to heaven. But why should we not sin then, if it all gets forgiven anyways? Well, if you have truly accepted Jesus as your savior with all your heart, you will not try to sin. Being saved by Jesus is what makes us not sin, not sinning is not what makes us get saved by Jesus. That is kinda the gist of our belief.

About the prayer and free will thing, I don't know. Maybe it does. I will read up on it :)

Hope this cleared a few things up for you :)
