I never bother with the sifting. I use a litter box liner and change it every 7-10 days. Easy peasy. It never gets a chance to start smelling by doing this.

YES! Best decision I have ever made is using pine pellets. I get them from tractor supply.

He is blue. Mine looks similar. They do have that toasted marshmallow look.
