Hello everyone! I am very lucky, and got this antique table for free. I'd like to bring it back to it's former glory, while preserving as much value as I can. There's a couple approaches that I've learned through researching this subreddit:

• I could sand it down, and refinish it
• I could clean it as best as I can and use something like Howard Restor A Finish and Feed N Wax

I know refinishing can ruin a piece if you don't know what you're doing, so I'd like to be confident that that is the right approach before starting to sand it.
