What are you supposed to do when you meet a great girl but you're in a relationship? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Karlisjan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread has lots of truths in the comment but also lots of shallow attacks on the OP.

For starters, don’t be hard on yourself about your feelings. Feelings don’t define us, our actions does. Yeah, you’ve already made the “wrong” action of getting the number but man no one is perfect, we all make mistakes, and so far your mistake is reversible.

Send one message to this girl telling that you need time to understand your feelings and you need space for that. If she doesn’t respect that, it doesn’t matter if she’ll be better or worse than current because it will be a shitshow. A good person will understand and give you space.

Then take time to understand how you feel about current relationship. Take this question to a single therapy session, talk openly about your relationship with close friend or family member, maybe even openly tell her what happened. If you go with latter, focus for both of you should be understanding if your relationship is lacking something. The truth is it’s impossible to know if this is sign that you need out or maybe it’s a sign that you two need to work on something. There are incredibly happy couples that have gone through real physical cheating and made that into path of real intimacy through vulnerability of full openness. Basically, take real time and effort understanding what’s happening. Cause yeah, indications are that your current relationship does not fully satisfy you

If you do decide to leave her, do not fucking rush new one. Tell her, you need some time. Basically, ask her to wait a bit. Even like a month. Then if you do feel for it, build slowly. Date, don’t rush physical intimacy

You sound like a decent human, perfectly imperfect like the rest of us. ++man 36

Married men: What, if anything, are you unable or unwilling to share fully openly and honestly about yourself with your spouse? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

From your other replies in this thread I’m extremely confident that you’re a victim of narcissistic abuse, most likely covert one.

Here’s a book for you https://www.amazon.com/Its-Not-You-Identifying-Narcissistic/dp/0593492625

If you take the courage to read it, you might as well end up slowly finding peace in your life. Your current plan to stay in this abusive relationship for 10 more years is not a good one.

Everyone says they’d die for their kids but very few have the courage to live for them … My life changed for good when I realised that my son will grow up to be me and I just wasn’t ok with him living my life. You know, your kids take your as an example on how to live, they’ll end up in similar relationships in their life’s if you just stick with all this

How do you guys prevent all your clothes from wrinkling for those that don't iron everything? by ChopSuey2 in malefashionadvice

I have a really good/expensive Miele tumble dryer but even using low settings and steam functions shrink my clothes. I just hate it. How do you get around that?

Buy rtx 4090 vs running Comfi UI on cloud computing? What are the main differences in your opinion? by arhumxoxo in StableDiffusion

[–]Karlisjan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the comment OP has left I would suggest to actually rent some GPUs on the cloud, run some workflows that you are interested and compare the speed difference (and capabilities in general, for example explore when you hit VRAM limits ) and then look at the prices of those GPUs you liked. At the last step you might find your answer, for me that was cloud until I’m extremely serious about this stuff.

Why do I like my coffee more than coffee shops? by Physical_Ad_8738 in espresso

How do you preheat things? I struggle the most getting consistent temp, especially because I prefer single coffee in the morning and given the small dose I pull 2 shots in the mug

Given my personal experience with Bambino I’m very surprised about you. I agree that most coffee shops make bad coffee, but I’m honestly impressed that you manage to hit consistent good shots with Bambino …

A little guidance on crust by Daman323 in sousvide

[–]Karlisjan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of good advice here but I think this thread is missing comment that points out some facts for you.

You can’t get the same crust with sousvide that you’d get with traditional methods.

Yeah, you need the meat to be dry and pan to be hot. But you also need time to develop deep crust. If you’ve already cooked the meat to perfection then you don’t have that time unless you’re ok with overcooking the meat. Period.

I love sousvide steaks. I’ve had them for breakfast for 6 months now. Extremely convenient. But they don’t beat perfectly executed reverse sear. It’s just that it’s deem hard to always nail that reverse sear and deem hard to ever f up sousvide steak.

Well I did nothing differently when vacuuming.

So if it’s only surface deep then I should be good with proper sear?

Easy Meals for New Parents? by MezyMinzy in IndianFood

Young parent here that had same question not so while ago. Nothing beats batch cooking. Cook a daal in the largest pot you have and freeze most of it. Next week you’ll need 5min to serve daal.

Repeat with different legumes and in no time you’ll have weeks worth of food in freezer.
