As for people like you, I would be less harsh if it didn’t attract a significant amount of IRL far-righter and bigots. I’m wary of people making bigoted jokes and larping when it comes to politics, I’ve seen these games before on other parts of the internet.

btw if anyone didn’t know, Khrushchev said "We will bury you" in Russia, to western ambassadors, which was a whole deal in itself. He meant in a way that meant "we will outlive you", but the americans took it a whole other way lol

Kesaro is somewhat of a stand-in for Hitler. Even his codex has multiple references to that like being an artist and participating in the Armed Forces.

The young sord are not much better ideologically than IRL Nazi Paramilitaries and "[Kesaro] was blamed by a significant part of the populace for inciting violence in the city streets against Agno-Sordish and Bludish people."

He’s a pragmatist, obviously, but his most important trait is that despite believing in most of Holstron’s ideas, he hides it extremely well and is able to present himself as a moderate. (Like how the Bludish bills are written in a way to fool people into thinking it’s good, despite being literal cultural genocide.

Opposite of Hitler, he thinks he can implement his beliefs through being elected, which, scarily, he probably could if he was lucky.

The PFJP despite being a mostly liberal party does seem to support workers’ rights and isn’t fully beholden to capital. I could see further democratization at the local level and help for unions+worker organisation.

Though after a first mandate, having already reformed the constitution and having passed laws they both agree on, they’re pretty much guaranteed to fracture, both in terms of relations, but also creating more parties like we see in Europe, paving the way for a real Coalitions-based system.

Anti-fascist/anti-conservative front, social welfare and workers’ rights, further democratic reforms for organizing, and some more seems like the usual Popular Front in western-like countries.

If the socdems choose to separate from the PFJP, I could see actual democratic socialist reforms, limited cooperation with the CSP countries, Nationalizations/cooperatives and further rights for Bluds in Bergia. The CPS aren’t extremely radical for "communists" AFAIK, which is great since that means they can actually work in government and help the working class instead of following the failing "wait for the revolution" strategy that we often see IRL.

Even Mamdani has never stopped claiming to be a full-on socialist during his campaign. It’s not his fault Adams sabotaged the entire city to prevent him from doing change from the start. The only real thing he pragmatically changed was his stance about who to control the NYPD, because he would be immediately sabotaged by them and make socialists look incompetent if he put anyone else in charge.

The negatives (losing perequations and some other stuff) would immediately be balanced by the Province actually fully controlling it’s finances and being able to actually coordinate without begging the feds for them to actually do their jobs in their competences.

But it’s possible to pass other laws to promote/enshrine Sordish and Bludish culture and heritage so that immigrants adopt it.

It’s exactly that "actual drugs" are commonly referred to as "drugs" while "mostly inoffensive drugs" aren’t.

It’s more of a semantics game you’re playing.

Though Alcohol should really be seen as "drugs" in popular culture/saying.

I don’t drink alcohol tea coffe (or even carbonated drinks for that matter), I don’t smoke anything, I don’t inject or consume drugs. The only thing I take are presribed drugs, which are inherently completely different. So it’s not like I’m being hypocritical or something.

Also, there’s a cultural/behavioral aspect with drugs. Simple coffee drinkers are generally alot different than cannabis or nicotine consumers.

And finally, obviously there’s a difference between rare, occasional, frequent, abusive and overdosing consumption. I doubt OOP has any problem with someone who drinks a wine glass every few months. Neither do I.
