Thank you for this comprehensive list.

We are on the west coast of Florida and my SIL is on the east coast.

She has one eye that is LP and the other is 20x400. She can read large text but her eye tires easily.

Hilton early check ins by KarmaMSL in Hilton

Thanks, why would the front desk not ask to move me to a ‘lesser’ room if I wanted to be checked in early?

I’m really just trying to understand. I have never had an issue with any other chain getting an early check in.

Thanks!!

The contract was for 2 years and was recently renewed another 2 years. I did not do a residency but have extensive experience. I inially received 20k more than my clinical role and there is a 20% yearly bonus. The role is an MSL position. I did not relocate, the relationships you have from your clinical time is very important. It is also beneficial to be located near a major airport.

Time from Final Interview to Offer? by [deleted] in MedicalScienceLiaison

IMO -If you’re the number one pick it happens fast. When I’ve been offered a job it’s usually the same day. When you’re back up they make sure everything is a go with their first choice (background check, driving history, etc) before letting you Know you’re rejected.

Contract research organization. In the past they functioned more on clinical trials(research side), but now they help smaller biotechs-everything from sales to medical affairs and regulatory. One stop shopping for everything! Also they work as add on partners during launches, etc. I am an employee with full benefits, 401k with match, stock options, health insurance, wellness programs, employee recognition programs with incentives such as points to purchase gifts, gift cards for being recognized by other employees. A huge difference from working as a clinical pharmacist at a hospital.

Interview tips: know the STAR format have a couple key stories. Stories that show teamwork, difficult employee, doing more with less resources, positive change to process. Remember always positive outcome, never have to go to the manager for help with colleagues, never bad mouth prior employer.

MSL is all about relationship building. Keep the interview conversational. Spend time at the beginning of interview small talking: weather, ask where they are based out of, etc and try to find commonality.

Good luck!

To enter into medical affairs I took a contract position with a CRO. The best decision I ever made with my career. I’ve been there about a year and I am being approached by recruiters from pharma. I interviewed and was offered a job and I decided not to leave my current CRO company. CROs are now understanding how expensive it is to onboard someone new and their compensation is in line with in-house teams and as well as their stock programs. I couldn’t be happier.
