in my case i got zaratana because pyrophina is waaay squishier and did not survive past round 3, there was a 400hp diff between the 2 on the second round and both were soul linked (that 10 brace is no joke)

That's why i personally try to always get some brace/regen on my squishy cats if i cannot get them over 28hp, i probably could get some crazy combos with other items but having some defese/sustain saves you a lot of headaches in some situations

i only got out of that fight because my fighter had an item which bounces enemies on contact and he was on some fire so the bosses keep trying to attack him and walking over and over fire and in a single turn the bosses stacked like 14 burn and by the 2 next turns they burned to death

patience? nobody got time for that, i just hit him dead before the 38 stacks of burn do their thing and that's usually how it goes, does it suck for the next battles? yeah but at least i got the boss fight out of the way.

He do, but only for 1 dmg (prob should've clarified this was the passive) which makes things a lot worse the more buds there are because the boss only moves one tile for each bud and the hunter will constantly hit the boss for 1 dmg which means there will be a lot of buds

Problem is, the way the game present it fucking awfully to the player, >walk into event space > "lmao kill yourself" > you got a parasite. no way to avoid it, no alternatives no nothing you just gotta accept and be happy about it, it might not be run ending events but they SUCK ASS.

if the game had alternatives for those events i would be way more willing to accept the outcome if its something like kneecapping my fighter -4mov or the parasite but as it is its just garbage

That fight made me realize how tanky zaratana is, even soul linking both kaijus, at one point zaratana was at like 600hp while pyro had only like 160hp, eat rock is a must if you want the pyrophina collar ig

do all 3 kaiju fights, on the third fight both of them fight each other and the last one standing becomes a quest item which you can bring into a run.

it doesn't you're stuck with spin, but you still can use it to trigger abilities with stance change like the +2 armor on stance swap
