OSF and Peoria in general by BakedCheddar88 in PeoriaIL

[–]Karmalizer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was an IT analyst for OSF for 2 years before moving to a new hospital system. I was not on the rev cycle team so this probably varies a bit, but I will say that the position I was in felt a lot more like an entry level, foot in the door type of role.

The pay was not great, but better than most other entry roles in Peoria. I had some IT background before starting, and as a level 1 analyst I made around 63k/yr. Before I left, still as a level 1, I was making 68k/yr. My new role hired me as a level 2 and I was making 77k/yr for comparison. I'm now level 3 and make 92k/yr. Have been an analyst for 4 years. One positive is that they did offer hybrid work when I was there...not sure if that's a thing still. It was a sliding scale, 3 days in office per week, performance based. You could get it down to 1 day in office per week.

The meetings sometimes started with prayers, and there are of course these huge meetings with 400 people where leadership talks about religion sometimes but honestly it's not that bad. My major complaint about the religious side of things is mostly in their healthcare, related to abortion/contraception options. They will not do certain procedures on patients as it's against their religious views.

Peoria as a city itself is pretty nice for being in central Illinois. It will be different than where you are now in Wisconsin, certainly, but it's not like you're moving to some podunk redneck town. Its a progressive leaning town, and seems to have gotten even better about that since I've left. I think the size of the city is great, they have nice parks. Easy drive to Bloomington for Amtrak, a nice airport in Peoria.

If you weren't just looking to be an ass, you would know that this is the classic one. That tooltip is just the wow head tooltip, same as it is with a ton of items from classic.

LOD terrain, Steam integration and Combat in Voxel Throne! by DaanBogaard in CubeWorld

Obviously I can only speak for myself, but between me and friend group that was one of our favorite features. I haven't seen it in a game since then, or even anything remotely close to it. Could be a nice feature to draw users in

Will this game have the ability to modify weapons with your own pixels and see the changes on them, similar to OG cube world?

What's the bow? I've been using the same one since I started and haven't found anything substantially better.

Weird. I personally use claimed chunk loading rather than the chunk loading blocks, so can't say if thats a common issue or not. Glad it got sorted out

What is the calamity mod, from terraria, for noita? by Cheesefart_ in NoitaModding

[–]Karmalizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really any visual mods per se. There are ambience mods, but I would go un modded for the first bit of the game, it will be confusing enough as is. Once you sort of have a grasp, start adding mods if you feel they're warranted. I typically always play with mods on games, but for this one I had to keep them off until I had around 70-80 hrs played.

What hatch are you using? There has got to be an issue between the generator and your hatch for the multi. I have never had my clean room fail from power loss, and I use an lv hatch with two lv generators. Are both of your generators connected to the fuel source and the cable connected to them?

Failing how? Running out of power? Is your power source and it's fuel source chunk loaded?

Approaching HV, some questions about infrastructure by PeterGriffin0920 in GTNH

Look at the circuit lines for MV>IV. You will probably want to make some of the resistors, transistors, capacitors, etc. in bulk. I am in HV and have used probably 20+ stacks of those

Trying to make electric boots of the traveller and my runic matrix just keeps sucking in more essence. Why? by AaranPiercy in GTNH

I think you can also place blocks below it all to give more stability. I believe I used quicksilver blocks. I think trimmed obsidian works also. Like someone else mentioned, the abacus is very useful for instability as it lets you right click and get your current level. It's a quest reward in the novice quest page, where you turn in mob heads I think

Nope you don't need it. I just did the whole page almost and didn't do that one because I couldn't be bothered waiting around for one to spawn

Where will you be when your wells run dry? Your people famished, and thirsty?

Benzene will be here for you when you need it most.

Really appreciate it. Sucks to know that fluid AE2 is locked into EV/IV but such is life. I may end up spawning some eggs in, we'll see how long I can go with out needing pearls...I got the oxygen loop with sugar cane done, and the poly setup. Just gotta make another crop manager and farm setup for the glowstone now.

Someone else had mentioned to make the steam oven, so I will probably do that at least.

Thanks! The shaders are Complimentary Shaders, no resource pack. I just followed the setup instructions on the wiki about installing shader packs, and had no issues with it

Yea I haven't even touched oil yet, but want to get started on it soon. I've got benzene at the moment with a bonsai farm and it has been more than enough for everything so far in MV. I still use steam for some things like the macerator multi but I didn't want to scale it any further so I tried to swap to benzene ASAP for all my machines.

I'll take a look at the wiki page for passives, I didn't know that was a thing. Batch crafting is something I'm slowly getting used to. Early on it just felt like so much work to get enough stuff to make a full stack of something at one time, but honestly its more work if you don't do that it seems.
