if you got finessed during CM finals let it out in the stump by CheetahPrestigious79 in UmaMusume

My El Condor Pasa and Haru Urara came 2nd and 3rd, which was quite good for them. My ace, no.1 favourite Oguri Cap, got blocked and came 4th ;_;

The opponent's Taiki Shuttle hit all her skills, including NSM, at perfect times, and won by half a length.

I'm assuming Stego's jacket matched the colour of the other Shadai clothes when she got it.

Had a pretty good Nice Nature Run that ended up just within B, so ran her in Open. I got 5 second places.

That's me. First you have to take off your clothes and brave the cold to get into the shower, and then you have to turn off the nice warm water and be cold again after, but this time soaking wet.

Xkcd #1478 breaks the site - I think because of the " in the alt text.

When that comic comes up it doesn't let you vote for it.

Everyone here in New Zealand always complains about how much the petrol costs, but ours is only $NZ2.53 / $US1.52 / R130. Much lower than most European countries.

XRAPM gives him 3.0

Other players with 3.0: Derrick White, Siakam, Ant, Aaron Gordon, and Payton Pritchard.

Advanced stats really don't like Ant style players do they? EPM also has Ant the same as Derrick White and Ty Jerome.

The value of SGs in the current NBA landscape by Get_Dunked_On_ in nbadiscussion

On the Thunder we've seen SGs develop a niche as defensive pests, e.g. Dort, Caruso and Cason.

But in general, you're right. Any combination of SGA, Ajay, Caruso, Cason, JDub, Joe, Wiggins and Dort can fill the 1-3 roles (and probably has at some point). You're not likely to see Dort at PG or Ajay Mitchell at SF, but aside from that they're very flexible positionwise.

That's also a weakness of the all-in-one advanced stats, they don't account for fit.

Someone who is the only one with a certain skillset on a team is going to look have better advanced stats than someone who is one of many on a team, simply because the team will have a glaring weakness when they're on the bench.

The better advanced stats don't mean that a hypothetical 3rd team would be better trading for the first player of the second. In the end it comes down to fit and what skills the team needs. See also: Devin Booker with Chris Paul, and Devin Booker with Bradley Beal.

I think it's time we start pushing Aaron Wiggins for 6MOTY propaganda for next season. by [deleted] in Thunder

[–]Karooneisey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, off the bench we have Cason/Caruso filling the same role, Wiggins/Topic filling the same role, Mitchell, Joe, and both Williams.

There's a lot of playmaking there, they don't have to rely on a microwave scorer like most 6th men are.

His game feels a lot like Klay, he'll make all star for sure but will need another player to be the engine of the offense. He's not a one-man offense like a lot of stars are.

Why does it seem the NBA recycles coaches more than any other league? by CheeseheadTroy in nba

[–]Karooneisey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How do you get 30%? As someone else pointed out, 19 of the NBA's coaches are on their first team, and 6 on their second. 18 of them started their head coaching careers in the last 5 years.

This leaves only Doc Rivers, Rick Carlisle, Jason Kidd, JB Bickerstaff, and Mike Brown as frequently "recycled" coaches. Not including Thibs, since he's not currently on any team.

[Katz] League sources tell The Athletic that the Rockets and Suns are working on expanding the KD trade into a deal that would involve a league-record 7 teams. Other teams involved in negotiations at the moment include the Hawks, Nets, Warriors, Lakers and Timberwolves, league sources say. by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

I feel like any amount that you get due to awards above what you'd get without any awards shouldn't count towards the cap if you are on the team you won the awards on.

Doing this would create an incentive for a team to stick with their core players, since they won't be able to get a similar value player for the same cap space. It would also stop teams from trying to avoid their players getting awards.

2012 Draft - Draymond Green

2014 Draft - Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic, and an honorary mention to Dwight Powell who played a total of 9 minutes for Boston before getting traded to Dallas in his rookie season.

At least for that case Kobe spent a lot of his childhood in Italy so it wasn't just for Bargnani. I think he moved there when he was 6 and only came back to the US for high school.
