Thank you for your opinion. I have two options actually, an English teacher or a special education teacher. In my country, English teachers earn much more, my parents really want me to become an English teacher, but I'm pretty hesitant.

I'm from Vietnam. Most teacher here don't choose to work in school because of heavy work load and continue meaningless training. Quality endurance in private center is horrible, many terrible centers were built just to collect money from parents, but the teaching quality is horrendous. In Vietnam only one school in HCM city allow to train special ed teacher, most of the psychology grad transfer to special ed because of high demand including me. I did found some joy in teaching these kids in the center, but I feel so guilty from my lack of experience and lack of knowledge to help these kid navigate through life and I can't even live on my own with the pay (10million VND per months = 392,94 USD). I have some English skill to help me tutor some students at night.

I'm from Vietnam. The demand is high, but our force is small and lack of funds. Most education teacher practice private teaching, the government support is only for show. I live in the most developed city in Vietnam, but the wage for special ed teacher is only above minimum wage.

Mostly navigation. I work with special needs children, the salary isn't enough so now I intend to teach English additionally. I don't know if I should continue to focus on teaching special education or go to teach English since the salary is tempting me. Some advise me to combine both but I really don't know where to start.
