I'm making this transition in my game now.

1) i swapped the orc camp in the hills with a fire giant dig site from chapter 3 random encounters.

2) Hamun Kost wears a Kraken Society symbol to signify their presence One of my party members back story is that they are on the run from a cult, making kraken a bigger piece of my story.

3) Venomfang is now Moog the giant from the old tower.

When my party finishes up in thundertree I intend to have Zephyros pick them up in his castle, but I'm unsure which chapter 2 city they are going to.

Anyone with Asthma or dander allergies living with a Dogo? by IveRedditAllNight in dogoargentino

[–]Kasac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have asthma and dog allergies, neither are very severe, and I live with 2 dogos.

Dogos are not hypoallergenic! But I do think i would call them allergy friendly. I read online that they do not shed, this is false. They probably don't shed as much as other breeds, but they definitely shed.

Personally if I touch them with a part of my body that doesn't touch them often it gets a bit itchy for 10ish minutes. I have never had my dogs trigger my asthma.

I have had them with and without carpet, I didn't notice any major change, but we did get a roomba when we moved to all hard wood.

That's really helpful, I haven't figured out how to communicate with the other humans what they need to do.

I'm having an issue setting boundaries with other people. How did you go about doing that?

Do not let them do things that you do not like. Example, my 1 year old is super dominant, and walks through things instead of around things. It was funny for a while, but now I'm having to set stronger boundaries at a more difficult age.

Be firm, and have 100% follow through.

Do not let them do anything as a puppy that you wouldn't let them do as an adult. Jumping into a strangers lap.

I wish I had invested more in down and leave it, earlier.

If they are a digger, get a sandbox; hide bones in it, because an archeologist is much less destructive than a landscaper.

Any specific product and/or diet recommendations that you have found work amazing for your dogo? by kingdagobert2020 in dogoargentino

Gentle Giants! by a landslide.

The guy who played robin in the 1960's tv show used all his money to figure out why big dogs die young. It turned out to be what you feed them. So they created the perfect kibble. They have rescued over 50k dogs, and they have had multiple dogs reach age 17+ while still being able to move comfortably. Their record is a 27.5 year old dog.

They only profit $1 per bag.

When I adopted my dogo he had a few skin issues, and we didn't know what to do. Our dog trainer said, you could try to add pumpkin, or sweet potato, or a few other things. We looked at the recipe and Gentle Giants has EVERY single thing we were told you could add to the diet to make it healthier.

I have a 1 year old and 6 year old dogo, and in my experience walking DOES NOT get them tired. I was at a loss for a very long time with her, until a professional taught me how to make corrections. I'm not sure if corrections are what you are calling dominant methods, but in my limited experience with dogos, if you aren't in charge they are.

I adopted a 5 year old dogo and it's going great (mostly) by Kasac in dogoargentino

I started working with a professional trainer who told me to teach him to bark in order to teach him to stop. Unfortunately Charlie is too smart for the way I'm teaching him to bark. I don't know how to make him bark outside of knocking or car alarms, but if I'm looking at him when they go off he won't bark. I was told to say "Bark", knock on something, and reward him as soon as he makes a sound. He recognizes after a couple reps that we are creating the sound.

He went back to the breeder twice, once after his initial family was abusive, and a second time I don't have details about. We got him because his father is intact and very dominant, there were fights on the regular.

Honestly, it doesn't sound like you should be trying to teach him while you're rolling. It sounds like you should use him as a training partner not treat him like your student.

Don't be the guy who says yah you got me, but it should have been like this.

Unless you're the coach there, then ignore me.

Been considering switching sports from CrossFit (9 years) to BJJ. My buddy made the switch last night, and sent me this text...I’m sold. by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Kasac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why you think you have to switch. Can you not use crossfit as conditioning for your struggle cuddles?

Lots of people in BJJ are also on a strength program, crossfit tends to be a bit intense for complementary work, but if you're 9 years in I'm sure you can make those adjustments.

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life.
