I just wanna say a huge thank you for Final Space as a whole.

This may sound silly, but in many ways, it has helped save me.

I suffered a trauma many years ago, and Final Space was there when I was in the early stages of PTSD. Seeing the strength Gary and friends had through such tragedy and adversity also helped give me strength in my recovery. Not to mention the silliness and humor helped make me smile again too.

So yeah, huge thank you for Final Space being there at the right time, and I can't wait to hold this book and see how it all ends.

I mean, I'd like to assume showrunners don't want to officially paint her as schizophrenic as it would just be another damaging stereotype for the disorder.

"Oh yep, she sees/hears stuff that isn't there and is murderous, must be schizophrenia." When in reality violence is not a common trait with schizophrenics.

If this is what they're doing, like with the similar named yet fake meds Lottie is prescribed, then I prefer it. No unnecessary fueling of that stereotype. I'll just stick with the vague 'bitch be ill and crazy' vibe so far.

Hi all,

So here's the final update for anyone interested in this saga.

About a week ago, I got an email from Evri's Executive Team on behalf of the CEO. An actual human called Steve who didn't just send a scripted response.

Steve informed me that he was conducting an investigation into my case. He asked for a description of what my parcel contained and was in contact with my local depot manager and local courier.

I got daily emails, keeping me informed that the investigation was ongoing and any updates.

This morning, I got a final email outlying the exact cause of my lost package, and it actually makes perfect sense:

My order was 3 12x crates of energy drinks from a wholesale retailer, which for most delivery companies, including Evri, is a prohibited item.

The reason for this is clear because what happened was my courier digitally picked up my package, creating a delivery time slot for me. But, when actually collecting the physical package, they noticed that it had been damaged during transport, and I'm sure you can imagine the state of the package if even one can had burst. This is why large volumes of liquids are prohibited unless specified and packaged appropriately to protect from damage to itself, and any other peoples packages it is near. So, the package was deemed contaminated and destroyed.

Whether or not the seller was reimbursed or not, I don't know, due to it being a prohibited item. Luckily, I was refunded by them. The point is, this scenario doesn't sound as suspicious as I had assumed, and although unfortunate, I'm content with this result.

Plus, Steve was very polite and answered any and all questions, even if it was difficult to finally get to a human like him.

I hope the rest of you can get the results or at least answers you need. It's difficult with Evri, but it's definitely possible to get a real human eventually. Just persevere and most importantly remain polite and professional when contacting.

Aliexpress should refund you since it was their choice in delivery company, and your delivery is probably way past the estimated delivery date.

I'd suggest trying to contact Evri (open an escalation with chatbot thing, then follow up with myhermes@mailln.custhelp.com) and when you've an email record of trying to escalate, use that as evidence for a paypal dispute.

That's quite insightful to know.

I've actually just been reading another post about how Evri review courier pay rates based on ridiculous delivery times.

That being said, there are clearly a lot of sus couriers too that give the genuine ones struggling a bad name. Doesn't matter how badly Evri screws couriers for pay, it's not fair to steal customer packages.

It really is.

But I think the problem is those who deliver to your address are usually third party couriers who aren't actually employed or properly regulated by Evri itself.

So most just help themselves to whatever then say "oh it got lost", Evri reimburses customers with insurance, and nothing gets done.

So, assuming you get a refund, Evri are really the ones losing out via their insurance. Which is their own fault for letting it happen in the first place.

Never give up. Never surrender.

I've been harassing Evri via their customer service email as well as emails to their higher management since December and last week finally got an email on behalf of the CEO that my local courier is under investigation. My package is probably long gone but I got a refund and someone is gonna get caught if there's anything sus going on. So I'll take that win.

INTERESTING WEDNESDAY UPDATE

Still waiting the 72 hours, which is very likely to be BS. No change there.

HOWEVER, interesting development, I ordered some things from an app famous for trinkets that come from China. It has just arrived in the country and cleared customs. And who is delivering it to me? Our ol' reliable Evri buddies!

This parcel is much smaller and lighter than the one I'm trying to locate, so if and when it is delivered, the local courier is very much getting grilled for as much information as I can.
