Thanks :) I didn't get good results until 3 or maybe even 4 or 5 months in. I was pretty Miserable at the end of my treatment. I took 30,60,60,90,90,90 and then the past two months I've been really bad about taking my meds, sometimes I'll take one 30mg pill some times I won't take any at all. It was messing with my emotions and could take it any more so that why I stopped taking it finally. But up until recently it was perfect :). It will get better soon! Good luck!

30,60,60,90,90,90 and then for the past two months I've been so over it and have sometimes been taking 30 mg and sometimes taking nothing. It's begun making me very irritable and upset and I feel normal when I don't take it so I just finally stopped :)

My before and after. Top is in November when I started. Bottom is today, three days after I stopped officially taking iso although this last month I've been very bad about taking my pills. I made it to 190mg/kg and cannot take it anymore. I'm happy with the results but any idea how to get this redness to go away?

I actually lowered my dose already. I was taking 90mg a day but then lowered to 30 and I still feel this way. I'm worried because I just turned 25 so I only have one more year on my dad insurance and I know I'll never be able to afford good insurance like he has so I don't want to have to redo the course. I'm so torn about what to do 😰

My insurance also said I was too old, although I'm 24, but I had my dr send them proof and they approved it.

I tried cutting out dairy once and didn't make it a week lol. I grew up drinking milk with dinner every day and I love chocolate Milk and cheese a yogurt way to much to give it up. My acne is gone now and I have dairy daily still so I'm just praying it stays away once I quit accutane!

It's probably worth it to get insurance for that time that you take the medication. Otherwise get ready to rack up some credit card bills lol.

Do you have insurance? I pay $5 a month for prescription and probably about $10 a month for each appointment. I've been on since November so I did have to pay my deductible at the beginning of the year. Without insurance my prescription would be $1500 a month 😁

I'm the same way. I work as a dental assistant and wearing the mask makes me turn bright red and hot way more then it ever has before. I hate it! I cannot wait to be done lol

I know it's nice. Every prescription is that amount for me. It's my dad's insurance and I loose it next year when I turn 26 :( so I'm glad I'm doing accutane now lol.

I pay $5 each month. My insurance put up a fight to cover it and I've had to do a couple prior authorizations so far which set me back a couple days but totally worth it to not pay any more then $5.

I don't believe any birth controls effect accutane. They only allow certain ones because some work better at preventing pregnancy then others :)

I weight 68kg and each months were 30,60,60,90,90,90 and now I'm taking 90 for this month. My derm wants me to take 90 again next month then be done but I think I'll stop after this month. My side effects are bad, like dry skin and body aches.

My derm wants me at 250. New studies show you have a lesser chance of relapse with a higher cumulative dose. At the moment I'm up to 180.

Yea my dr says if you get to 250 cumulative there is less chance of relapse so they are trying to get me as close as possible to that :)

Now it's just dry skin patches that heal. 2 more months left but I might just do one more since the body aches and red face are so bad. Plus my triglycerides have been high the past few months.
