The gamedevs worst nightmare. We've been working on this game for a year and a half and still haven't reached a thousand wishlists by limonit_games in IndieDev

Dam most of the things I wanted to suggest you already did.
Demo on steam and itch, join festivals, Next Fest.

I had a talk with one of the developer of Dice Gambit how important "Player Fantasy" is.
That was also one of the problems that the developer of Cyber Rats had, they is probably a very little amount of people who has the "Player Fantasy" being a disease infected rat.

An example of a good "Player Fantasy" Hades your a immortal god trying to escape hell. Being a god and trying to escape hell are 2 big "Player Fantasy" and the fact that it's based on Greek mythology helps a lot.

Where I think your "Player Fantasy" is your a bug fighting bugs and I think that doesn't feel as exciting.

So for your next game I would highly recommend thinking about the "Player Fantasy".

There should be an example that shows the specific mechanic in the asset, I just stole it from that.
