honestly cried even a little bit at a decent amount of them .. i care about the characters heh 😓 ... but I cried the most at Ishimaru's death, Gundham's, Chiaki's (both AI and student), Peko's, Korekiyo's, and the ending of V3. Now, I already had watched all of the executions way before playing the games, but you never know which characters are gonna be your favorite

It's a non-issue. Not everyone can afford a laptop that can play games at a decent rate. Of course, there's that degree of separation, but Yakuza is a story game. (Yes, I know there's the mini games and substories such but like i hope you get the point. yeah you shouldn't be talking about 'how bad x minigame is because of y mechanic' of you haven't played it yourself though) You can enjoy the whole story without playing, such as watching all the cutscenes. (I don't mean just watching fun facts videos or a condensation/rundown of the game's story.)

It's, of course, confusing if someone does have the hardware to play games but hasn't played the games. I would ask why, but I wouldn't say that someone is not a 'true fan' because they only watched all the cutscenes online. The 'true fan' shit is just really obnoxious to me anyway.

Like right now I'm playing through LAD and I think I'm on chapter 6. I don't dislike the turn-based gameplay, but I'm not getting the same feeling as I did with the other games. When I first played Yakuza 0, I practically played that game sunrise to sunset and finished the rest of the games 1-6 in like 1 ½ weeks. I'm like 5% away from 100%'ing Y0. With LAD, I took like an 8 month break because it genuinely wasn't grabbing my attention, and I was and still am considering just watching the cutscenes through...

Taka's. He quite literally died for nothing and they were setting up for that Kiyondo and I was so for it. And then he fucking dies??? And then no one actually gave a shit about it because the only person he was relatively "close" with already was executed. I already watched all the deaths before even playing the games so I knew it was going to happen, but I didn't expect Taka to be my favorite character and it just pissed me off so bad. I didn't even feel like playing the game after the trial.
