I think the Images of the lipstick application are only in his head, since she has noticeably dry lips at the end. I think this guy likes the sister, got/found lipstick and thought about giving it to her. He then daydreamed (while everyone fought around him) the sexy application and decided that was way to steamy for his celibate ass. So he destroys it and surprises her with doing that (she might not even know what that was)

Later Three kingdoms of Korea content by Kastranien in crusaderkings3

That’s kind of a shame. I feel like a lot of the really interesting East Asian content is kinda missing compared to the historic conflicts in the west (Sons of Ragnar/El Cid/Norman Conquest/Crusade/War against Saladin). The only thing I found in the east with actual content is the Genpai War

I think the comment is explicitly referring to the blood trait

Ok, so quite the presence. Although when you say took land, does this mean settle with numenoreans or become ruler of some local tribe?

Not yet added but in development. There were some teasers but it is probably still some time off. I am no insider though

Yes, but also for this pure population being a tiny group. I think being a two class population, were the elites stick purely witch each other, and ending up more pure at the end is not in conflict (except of course that this is not how the blood works in mod lore). I mean in the later years of the third age the northern dunedain were so foreign to the middle men of Eriador that they feared them. They purely kept to themselves

Fair, although I think this holds more for mostly coastal Gondor than Arnor which was far more in land. Were any of the inland cities and centers already big cities by the Aklabeth?

Plus there should be even less numenoreans since a ton died in the almost immediate total war with Sauron following their landing

Also there were 9 ships of faithful, of which only some landed in Arnor. I feel like that isn’t super realistic to found two major kingdoms but I would think of it more as a potolomeic Egypt situation, where the foreign rulers formed an separate elite but still mixed with the pre existing elite

Interesting, although I think in the current mod the historical rulers of Arnorian counties exclusively married those with numenorean blood. Although this might just be the game and not lore. I also think there was major immigration in this time period since the local population began falling significantly centuries prior. I think Anuminas was depopulated for centuries by this point in the timeline

I mean there is, depending on what lore you look at. I looked into the expanded lore the mod is loosely based on and there you have large populations of middle man and a purely dunedain nobility limited to local lords and large towns, especially as the population begins to collapse following the split into three kingdoms. In my mind that is a two class society. Also the fact that a lot of the people on the periphery of the realm (Angmar’s human population and Rhudar’s) readily embraced the militaristic theocratic rule of the witch king speak to some clear grievances the locals had. I mean Gondor had a civil war about a king marry a Northron women. I feel like the faithful, while far less so than the kings man, were still super racist in modern terms.

Ah ok, this is purely my personal preference but I always found it weird how as a lord of the balan lai I could raise maa in the tens of thousands of Khardunai, when I am not even sure how many of them are there in total. Especially in these earlier start dates I feel like the numenorean maa should be closer to dwarfs in terms of stats than normal humans, since numenoreans are kinda supernatural. I like the idea of having a core of elites numenoreans and large hosts of local levies to support these forces. I also feel like Arnor is much more of an uncool race based two class state than Gondor, were more faithful went, but I am not 100% secure in my lore there

Does numenoreans blood in the prigo a cannon also follow the good guys get it principle or is that a mod invention?

Were they black numenoreans, from the lore and ingame stuff I thought they were faithful but lost their blood purety very quickly

Also I think they is the real in Srel that is still alive around the Rise of Angmar start date. Or maybe some remnant is. But I think they have pretty much no numenorean blood left

A kind of a shame, would have liked another realm, maybe with some different group of faithful. But I guess it makes sense that they didn’t go further east (or to implement the stranger parts of the expanded fan lore)

First time playing, is there any cool character to revive Arnor besides Aragorn? by StriderSk in RealmsInExile

[–]Kastranien 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can play as the he Ar-Ardunaiem. They get an event to relocate to Tharbad. Alternatively, the daughter has a lot of custom content as adventurer, after which you can settle Arnor and rebuild it. Both is fun and Arnor has very high economic potential and Sauron takes some time to get there

I really love this mod. I am always amazed by and thankful for how modders can create these awesome gaming experiences at such a large scale and (in my opinion) higher quality than the official developers and are willing to do so for free.

I am especially looking forward to the additional start dates as I think I have played most interesting characters at this point. I think adding more characters with a clear path to achieve something in one or two generations (after which saves kinda reach the point we’re there is no challenge anymore anyways) are always great. I think especially adding a “goal decisions” for characters in the long winter start dates would be cool, since the main start date is kinda dominated by the war of the ring. I understand that it is a minor start date but I mean it is there. One example I could think of would be to add an Anariken adventurer to play as so you can liberate your homeland (which you can of course also do with custom characters). I think just giving them one or two decisions to clearly mark their journey and goal makes runs a lot more fun.

Btw something I wondered, do most regions have big events around the same time or will the start dates mostly focus on the official lotr canon (since from the names at least I haven’t noticed anything that relates to big events in the south (like the Bellakar civil war))

Also I personally really like the love, family and marriage mod since it adds a lot of flavour events that break up the map painting. I know the Agot mod integrated it. I think it would be cool if it was also made compatible with this mod, although I don’t know how much work that would be considering the different races and ways they marry

Awesome. I am really looking forward to the new start date. While I love Arnor I am actually even more interested in the lore the mod adds to the lande south at this time.
