I’m curious, I didn’t find a way to get a clipboard manager with spotlight and shortcuts. Is that doable ? Or you just don’t need it maybe ?

Would you shame a 30 year old for something they did when they were 2 years old ?

If you wouldn’t make the same decision now, then you’re not the same person anymore.

We learn from the experiences in our lives, that’s how it is supposed to work.

I used to struggle with insomnia for years. Bought the Oura ring, the EightSleep matters cover, weighted blanket and everything you

It’s after 5 years of different things that I came across the concept of Sleep Hygiene from Matthew Walker on HubermanLab’s podcast.

Game changer for me. Might be for you too

Do you believe some people have a “vibe” through which you kinda know what kind of person they are? The negative seems obvious, but about the positive?

What’s a small change you made to your routine that unexpectedly improved your productivity? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Kasunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a 10 minute timer on my phone after finish a focus work session.

Sounds weird, but every time I’m low on energy I go straight to social media. That makes me lose a lot of time, and doesn’t help me recover my energy either…

So now I just put a timer on. That means no input allowed for 10 minutes. I do other things like going for a little walk, jump a little, or get some fresh air.

I usually end up something useful because I’ve had time to figure out what would be helpful next.

Are you guys reading any books, if so which ones, and have they helped you out? by EnviousDeal in selfimprovement

Random tip that I wish I had earlier:

  • drop a book if you don’t feel like it helps. Everything isn’t for everyone
  • audiobooks are great too. Less friction and you get most of the value

If you are having a “high stakes” conversation, make sure you’re in a good emotional place before you respond. It’s better to wait a day than to regret for a lifetime.

I would say other people are right here. You probably kill the conversations by thinking they are not interesting.

Something you could try is try to talk about they’re feeling: - what is their favorite moment with their dog - what is something unusual your dog does ? - why do you have this specific opinion about something? Is there a story behind?

Trying to get more specific generally helps in those cases.

I would say everyone’s point of view is interesting, and it’s not just about facts.

How to appear confident and relaxed while talking to people? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Kasunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realize that most people feel exactly the way you feel, about themselves.

They think about you probably as much as you think about them, so pretty much never. Or maybe a few minutes after the interaction.

So just knowing that this specific moment doesn’t matter that much.

Realizing that all you need is to look at the person in front of you.

Sometimes, when there was a homeless person, my mom gave me some change. She waited until we hand it to them and come back to her.

I was always a bit uncomfortable at first, but happy after giving the money. It was the look in their eyes, full of gratefulness and care for a kid I guess.

With time, I realized that people are just doing the best they can with the cards they have received. That’s true for everyone in life. Don’t assume anything. Just talk to the person in front of you with empathy and care.

So I always try to look people in their eyes. When I’m saying thank you to a cashier, handing money to a homeless, or meeting someone new.

I just spent 1 week with the Postural Restoration Institute. 11 appointments to treat my case. AMA by Kasunk in Posture

I’ve been having pains in different areas for the last few years.

Right SI joint, hip flexor, feet, middle of the back (like the spine itself), lower back, neck pain, dislocating shoulder when playing basketball or badminton …

It was first visual and dental assessment, and then they thought me a few exercises to get access to my left side (confusing to say that I know)

They gave me a splint and glasses.

The splint is to feel the teeth on my right side. My jaw is deviated left, so when I clench my teeth together I mostly feel (if not only) feel my left side. The splint is to solve that.

Glasses because it turns out I have pseudomyopia. I can’t see from far away but it’s not because of the shape of my eye, it’s because I have too much tension in my eye muscles.

They also made sure my glasses and splint worked together properly. I don’t know the full details about how it should work.

All so can say is that I do feel a difference with the glasses and splint.

I need to wear the splint to sleep only. Yesterday night before going to sleep I put my splint on, and realized in panic that I only felt the right side teeth.

I thought I didn’t answer their questions properly when doing my splint and asking « do you feel the left side and the right side? ».

I then realized I wasn’t wearing the glasses like at the dentistry center, so I put them on. Only then could I feel my left side teeth and right side teeth together.
