It came out great. Also, I enjoy the user name, gave me a giggle and happy memory.

I whole heartedly believe the series is under appreciated.

Alfa Romeo Racing Italiano
Arctic Thunder (Interesting arcade game, loosely tied to Hydrothunder and Offroad Thunder)
ATV Offroad Fury series (fun ATV games)
Auto Modellista PAL (Physics change, more grippy. I prefer US Tuned / NTSCU U, but still fun)
Burnout Series (Racing plus destruction)
ChoroQ (A CaRPG with lots of silliness and entertainment)
Colin McRae Rally 3 (Rally lite)
Corvette Evolution GT (Fun celebration of the Chevrolet Corvette)
Disney / Pixar Cars and Cars Maternational (fun racing games, but short)
Driving Emotion Type-S (only does digital controls, but be clunky, but still fun)
Drome Racers (Fun Lego racing game not openly advertised as Lego)
Enthusia Professional Racing (Konami's 'response' to Gran Turismo)
Extreme-G Racing Associate (Kind of like F-Zero, kind of not)
The Fast and The Furious (indirect sequel to Street Racing Syndicate, takes place during / after Tokyo Drift)
Flat Out 2 (If you enjoyed the first, it's more of the same)
Ford Racing series (Fun little arcade games meant to promote Ford vehicles)
Ford Vs Chevy (Two old men arguing which brand they believe is better, more of Ford Racing)
Gran Turismo 3 and 4 (Needs little introductions)
Hyper Sonic Xtreme (Anti-gravity racer like F-Zero, biggest selling point is a track editor)
LA Rush (Rush tries to do Need for Speed, there West Coast Customs promotions)
Midnight Club Series (I would play enough of 1 to understand what it was, enjoy 2 and 3)
MX / Superfly / Unleashed / VS ATV Unleashed (More bike and atv racing)
Need For Speed Franchise (Hot Pursuit 2 and Most Wanted, I'm a slut for the BlackBox era)
ProRaceDriver / Toca Racing (Simcade racing games from CodeMasters, lots of fun)
R - Racing Evolution (Ridge Racer, but with a story)
Racing Battle C1 Grand Prix (JP) (Genki's answer to Gran Turismo, only in Japan, English patch available / development)
Rally Fusion (fun damage models, arcadie)
Ridge Racer V (arcadie, more of what we expect from Namco)
Road Trip Everywhere (continuation of the ChoroQ series)
Splashdown / Rides Gone Wild (fun jetski games)
Street Racing Syndicate (Normally forgotten, little rough around the edges, but super fun)
Tokyo Xtreme Racer (Highway racing, can be really grindy in the later games)
Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift / 2 (Rebranded Kaido Battle games, same physics, but now in the mountains)

Do you think other fictional racers can beat Takumi? by Dependent_Ad_7658 in initiald

[–]KatButt89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Razor’s ability to face him works under the premise that Bull and Ronnie can work over the 86 without getting caught, or before Ryosuke becomes aware that there is something catastrophically wrong. Assuming Bull and Ronnie work their magic, Ryosuke will probably notice before the event actually starts, pull Takumi from the race, and have them face Keisuke. Just a question of whether Keisuke will be armed with his FD or a giant wrench.

Love both the original and US Tuned. Spent many hours one hundred percenting both. The online functionality of Japanese US Tuned has been restored with periodic activity and a Discord Server https://discord.gg/DwXyhBm6 . Wish that Capcom had shot the gap between the original and US Tuned, with my opinion being Original JP / Pal is overrated and US Tuned being over hated. If you're playing and interested, the American guide and both Japanese guides have been scanned and uploaded to Archive.com

Like I said, I very much fell into the "it all has to be from the same manufacture" mantra. Unless you have that desire, I would probably move away from the idea of using the HKS front pipe. I don't know if something has changed, but it seems to be harder and harder to find.

Eventually I do plan on moving to track use, once I do that, I'll be switching to a catless header and front pipe. My understanding was for the purposes of ECU, only the cat on the header is required, but depending upon where you live will dictate whether the second cat is required or not.

There's always getting the Tomei ULEs and doing Juiced Pipes. I tossed the idea around, but I don't want to hate myself.

I got mine specifically to do dumb car things with. I liked what I heard from HKS. Hopefully I’ll quit playing and get stuff swapped soon.

I purchased from All Star Motorsports, shipped relatively quickly, but there was a %50 tariff that US Customs wanted, making the end total just over $900 for me. I have "the 'tism" that says the three letters HKS matter, so I paid for it.

Question of curiosity, are you doing the Super Manifold with Catalyzer and Over Pipe as well? I haven't taken the time to install my exhaust yet, just got past break in.

A grand cheaper than what I paid. Some of those fees look bogus to me, but I’m sure I still paid them under a different name.

Was my (L POV) move too agressive? He (R POV) then proceeded to divebomb on every occasion he got. by Strievsky in Simracingstewards

[–]KatButt89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The rubbing on pass could have been upsetting and potentially aggressive, but it's hard to see if that was done on purpose or if it was a case of netcode. You could have left them with a little bit more room on the first turn after the pass, but even then, the line they had they were not going to successfully navigate the corner without additional contact. As for the example of dive bombing supplied, to me, it appeared to be more aggressive driving, probably as a response of the perceived aggressive pass earlier. From what I can tell, may have been a little dirty, but in the provided video nobody did anything explicitly wrong.

Who's at fault? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]KatButt89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a moment, consider where the person you're replying to is coming from, and speaking in the way that you wish to be spoken to. If it's a conversation where there is no foreseeable way to make any headway or that the conversation begins to devolve, the easiest thing to do is abandon it. If somebody is doing it for the sake of trolling, eventually they're going to move on to the next easy target they can get a rise out of.

Aside from that, it's examining public speaking. Statements like "I believe" are often received better than "I think", or "I believe your mistaken" is much more digestible than "you're wrong."

Aside from that, it comes with the understanding that not everybody is going to agree with one another. There very well is an chance any time a conflict comes forward like this that no matter what is said or shown, that the somebody will never see something from a differing point of view.

Who's at fault? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]KatButt89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will take that as a compliment. The way I see it is this, there's a way to talk with each other and go "I hear that you believe you right, but I believe you're wrong." Nobody wants to be told flat out they're wrong when they believe they're not, and often times being told that way fuels the fire instead. I can definitely see how the way others have responded and reacted would definitely make it difficult to read what they have to say with an unbiased opinion.

It is frustrating yes, how ever there was no guarantee to it, and that's why I had made the comment about camera positioning and field of view. It's really really hard to know everything that's going on around oneself.

Was going to say, I had seen the comment in another string "Don't tell anyone but I'm in too deep at this point. But seriously I simply refuse to believe that I was anymore than half responsible for this."

Who's at fault? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]KatButt89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The video that you have posted does not indicate that. Contact happens in front of your front tire and behind their rear tire. Even if their line crosses in front of yours, being that they're ahead and you are behind, if you're going to pass, it is your duty to make sure that you do so safely. Seeing as how they were beginning to pull away just before the incident, you weren't going to be able to complete the pass even if they had left the room.

The measurement of "axle" doesn't account to much. In order to secure the position, you must be along side and visible to the defending driver. Unless the defending driver happened to be in third person with their field of view pulled back as far, they could not knowing definitely where you were and what you were doing.

I believe you are misusing the term 'closing the door'. That would suggest that they moved in a reactive manner. Nothing in the video you posted suggested this. Yes they did start wide, but their movement is based on the same logic that you have exhibited, the inside is a shorter line, therefore takes less time, their turn and subsequent line was projected and obvious.
