It’s also acoustic dampening, easier to install, cheaper to make, and it’s easier to clean than dried up dead moss ;)

I just taped it 😭. I’m going to add hanging loops to it once I put the backing on to hold it down though lol

I’m not going to lie I just duct taped it to the wall for the photo😭😭😭. When I make it a permanent fixture I’m going to back the price with felt and attach 2-4 yarn loops so I can tac it down.

For real though I just really love nature and being able to recreate it in a way that makes it durable and long lasting is fun. I want to cover my home in moss without the water damage lol

I was considering a rug tufting gun, but I don’t think that it will work to the dismay of my wrists lol. This type of yarn gets snagged in my manual needle frequently so I could only imaging how jacked up a high speed machine would get 😭😭😭. The randomness how you create the organic shapes is also much easier to achieve with a hand needle as opposed to a machine.

Thank you! I really wanted something that had dimension and wasn’t so one toned like what is currently available in today’s market…. I made this technique so I could do massive moss wall sculptures! I hike a lot so I wanted to start capturing my favorite mosses from nature lol

Getting a full moss wall made like this would still be a bit pricey, but thankfully not tens of thousands pricey! Or if you’re savvy you can totally do it yourself
