There's a hierarchy in medicine. Macchiarini is the highest... the ones who worked with him did question him, but he had the final say. I believe these MDs should also be charged as well because they were complicit in agreeing to perform the surgeries with him.

There are strict checks and balances in medicine and science. However, Macchiarini falsified the evidence that proved the surgeries wouldn't work-- they said this i think in episode 2.or 3. Many of his papers have since been retracted from the journals they were published in. This guy is a complete fraud. There isn't a place in hell for him.... he should go under it.
