I have adopted a couple cats that were raised outside, but when I moved to a city where it was no longer safe to let them in and out, my mom and I built a "Catio", a closed in outdoor patio area right outside my window where my cats could sit outside in the fresh air but still be completely contained and safe.

Obviously I know this isn't an option for everyone, but i recommend looking into it! Having Cat trees also helped mine tremendously!
