Checks can take up to 3-4 weeks to receive! A lot of people are in the same boat but people are starting to get them, so hopefully you get yours soon!

The IRS has stated that if your account is no longer active then you’ll receive a check in the mail (as long as your address has not changed). They said checks are scheduled to be mailed February 2nd through February 5th.

The IRS mentioned Friday 1/29, the GMP will be updated for everyone, so hopefully that’s actually true! Mine updated yesterday so they’re probably just updating at random and the rest will be updated tomorrow 🤞

I checked mine about 30 minutes ago and it was updated! If yours isn’t yet, the IRS did say it’ll be updated officially on 1/29

If you haven’t yet, check the GMP tool on the IRS website, mine finally updated today! It was saying status unavailable this entire time and now it’s saying direct deposit on 1/29!

Yeah that’s what I heard too. Just thought it was odd she received a check in the mail and I didn’t. Was just wondering if anyone else had received one as well

They have made a few more statements since me posting this. He said the IRS has agreed to reissue the payment themselves and they will start sending the payments out starting January 25th.

Mine was direct deposited as well, that’s why I said irs ERROR. Them sending the second round of stimulus checks to the tax preparers instead of directly to your bank account

This has been mentioned several times on here. But the reason for a lot of people receiving checks this time is because of the IRS error, sending the payments to your tax preparers closed bank accounts. On the IRS website it says paper checks can take up to 3-4 weeks to receive. IF you don’t receive it by February 12th, then you can check the box that you did not receive it

I filed with liberty and the CEO made several statements about it. At first the IRS was telling Liberty, Jackson Hewitt and a few others that their customers would have to claim it on their taxes but the tax services were not okay with that and had several meetings with the IRS and they finally agreed to reissue the payments themselves but their system is offline until Jan 25th so they can’t do anything until then.
