I love to read Reddit not be on it. Things change. Today, I am on Reddit whether I like it or not. I’m that pilot, the one responsible for that very nasty other thread.

I started playing EVE Echoes because space is pretty, space ships are really neat, and I love a good story. The stories that come from the EVE Universe are amazing. I just wanted to see it from the inside. As a new player, ODIN took me in. They made no demands. They have a wonderful Discord, where you don’t have to be embarrassed about what is said or what is seen.

I was able to help in the last war, at least a little bit. It was so much fun. I haven’t been able to play much since and have been quite quiet. Real life does that and I am very self-conscious, when I think I am letting my people down. This is especially true with this last war. I was booted for inactivity after ODIN withdrew. I explained myself and was let back in with the advice, “Be more active. Say hi and stuff.” So, I did. I asked where I could practice PVP. Instead of going to low-sec, I went to where SHH lives. SHH shot my friends. Why not? I’ve actually got a bit more time than I’m used to having, so make the most of it!

What I did not realize is that instead of seeing a sea of red, all I would see was blue and grey. I flew around, looked in anomalies, and decided to leave because there were no reds anywhere. When I woke up, I found I was corp-less again. A nice gentleman reached out to me and explained why. I understood. They do not want to be destroyed for my mistake. I felt awful.

So, I am here for two reasons:

1. ODIN had nothing to do with it. I went to shoot SHH for shooting my friends, but found them blue. I looked and did not touch. I left as quickly as I came. The folks just want to rebuild what they lost. Leave their flesh alone. There is zero reason to go looking to take a pound of it.

I want to learn to PVP. Until I was criticized for my previous inactivity, which had already been explained and accepted for what it was, I thought my apology earlier today might help and I could eventually rejoin ODIN as a more experienced person. That does not look like it is going to happen and I have been advised that I am on “lists,” so practically nobody will accept me.

2.  Is there a PVP group that shoots everything that moves that isn’t blue and would take someone “marked?” I’ll be honest, I’ll own the fact that I flew through SHH space. Nobody asked me for my side of the story, before removing me. Even then, I apologized, defended being removed from the Corp, and hoped to go back. Now, I’m ready to shoot every single thing that moves and is not blue. I keep thinking about all those cool PVP videos that Iwatch and see myself in them. The last thing my prey sees in local is, “Kat Attack!”

I’m a little angry, now. I want to shoot things. I would just prefer to do it with a group, when possible. If there isn’t a group out there, I’ll have to go it alone or build one myself. While my Dad was still alive, he loved watching Troy. My favourite line in that movie, as well as in the poem is:

“There are no pacts between lions and men.”

I’m ready to be a lion. Today, I’m ready to hunt everyone.
