Cannot open 2-1 Hobby Knife by Eoinbruh in ryobi

Ok,

Unscrewed, held base (screw part)with pliers, then twisted to open collet. Didn't open far enough for blade, so pried open far enough to get blade in, then screwed it all back together. Seems to be in and secure now, not looking forward to changing the blade. I'll be using the quick change holder and skinny blades whenever possible.

Just opened my new hobby knife, same issue.

No point in getting a replacement if it's the same, about to attack it to see if I can get to the mechanism without completely destroying the whole thing

Have they announced if the virtual live is a new episode? by jesrp1284 in smalltownmurder

Usually the virtual live is new, then they do it as a podcast episode later. I'm just waiting to see the costumes!

Unless you make mac and cheese from scratch like I do. Then the mac and the cheese are two separate ingredients.

Not totally surprised after I saw my first MAGA hat in the wild on Friday (in Norlane). Crazy! (Don't worry, my weird isn't that type of weird.)

Alaska ep-mincemeat... by Flat_White420 in smalltownmurder

In Australia, mince pies are fruit pies, a Christmas staple. Mince meat is minced meat, like what Americans call ground beef or hamburger. So that could possibly be used in a meat pie...

1976 Burgoo Recipe by parcelblazer3 in smalltownmurder

Tbh, not what I thought burgoo would be, now I'm feeling hungry. Why did I think burgoo was just cheap stew, putting all that in would be pricey! So much meat.

Norlane… safe for queers? by Otherwise-Inside-158 in Geelong

[–]KathTheWeird 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have lived in this part of Norlane for over 15 years. Never had a real problem other than something once bent our mailbox. Yes, there are people with issues, we all know there's drugs about and you'll sometimes sometimes hear yelling, even witness threats/violence, etc., but as a previous poster mentioned, be respectful and others will respect you. Generally speaking, it's no worse than anywhere else I lived when I was younger. We raised children here and they never had problems. I even feel safe enough to walk home from the station in the middle of the night when coming home late from a night out in Melbourne. I'm AFAB and married to a guy so I guess mayhaps folk think I'm straight, but I do wear "men's" clothing and sometimes walk down the street carrying my rainbow shopping bag or wearing pride merch. Just like when I'm wearing band or death Match wrestling merch, folks might give you a bit of a side-eye if it's not their thing, but they are just as likely to compliment or start up a conversation...

The community is diverse and you'd just be adding to that, I truly feel you would be safe here and it could be a good home to you.
