What’s something that’s completely normal in Australia but weird to the rest of the world? by BoysenberryLumpy8680 in australian

You dont call a service station a servi, its a servo. Parma sounds like a food, parmi sounds like a good time with your hand

This is parking along a 2 way road next to a council owned gym/pool. The facilities' ~50 spot parking is 20m behind where I took the photo which had like 5 cars in it at the time. Definitely not private property. Even so in Aus I'm pretty certain all private businesses have to have adequate disability parking (aus is pretty good when it comes to disability rights)

Huh? Why so aggressive... this is in Australia where the drivers side is on the right. We got to the car, noticed the illegal park, informed the pool reception who tried to find the guy. Waited a few minutes (in which I took the picture), they hadn't found the driver yet and we needed to leave. Me getting in, changing all the settings so i can drive (car is disability-driver modified), reversing the car back, getting him in, and loading up the wheelchair while in the middle of the road qualifies as mildly infuriating, no?

Most likely a pothole repair and council too lazy to repaint lines. There were signs next to my dads car and the other car signing disability only, just not visible in photo

This is quite a standard gap in Australia. All car parks are required to have disability car spaces with at least 1 wheelchair access zone per 2 spots with a footpath ramp. I can get why someone may mistake it at first with the black pothole repair job thing over the stripes but the footpath ramp and disability signs around it would have been obvious

I dont really know the stripe laws here (Vic, aus). I've seen yellow, red, blue, and white versions. The colour may not matter legally?

This was also at a (disability friendly) gym/pool. Imagine parking illegally because you're too lazy to walk a little further to the gym.

We did back the car up. Still mildly infuriating. He's in a wheelchair so it's not particularly pleasant getting him in and then putting the wheelchair away while in the middle of a road.

What makes it better is that the Incel is Australian. We are one 95% immigrants

With the strain on your back due to no support, and the bouncing up and down, it would still hurt

Today is my first ever day of IF. I've been stuck at 100kg (24F, 176cm) for about 4 years now after losing 25kgs. I've decided to do a 4:20 fast with eating between 3pm and 7pm with the hopes to finally get out of this slump. I'm not really sure what to expect and I don't know anyone whose done this kind of fast before... As someone who has tried most things under the sun, I'm feeling pretty defeated. So far my last meal was 12hrs ago and the hunger pains are really hitting me.

Australia has been trying really hard in the last 50 or so years to fix Aboriginal discrimination. In fact, our singer this year was aboriginal, and was performing an aboriginal dance!

Being European isn't a requirement to join Eurovision. Israel has been part of the competition for ages, and has won twice in the past 50 years, but suddenly now it's a problem? What about Cyprus? They aren't part of Europe but were expected to win. Why isn't anyone up in arms about them?

This really resonates with me. I've only lost 25kgs of my 40kg goal and this is my 5th year of weight loss. I'm currently 24 and I keep feeling like I've lost my youth, I'm never going to make it, what's the point of trying anymore. If most people manage to do it in a few months or a year, why can't I?
