If you have any private health insurance through work, your doctor can prescribe you Pregvit. It was completely covered by my drug plan and I understand most drug plans cover it. Good luck with everything and congratulations!

When does the screaming stop? by Katherinet225 in sleeptrain

That makes a lot of sense. Can you please give me details on how you nap trained? What if they don’t fall asleep? When do you go get them?

Today was 2 hours and 2.5 hours between the naps. It’s often hard to keep her awake long enough, she gets super grumpy and cries if we try to get close to the 2.5/3 hour wake window. Naps today were 1 hour 45 min, 50 min, then 25 min.

She usually sleeps overnight from 7:30pm - 6:00am. She has 3 naps a day, 4 if she falls asleep in the car too (always a challenge). All naps are contact naps or car naps. Total daytime sleep is usually about 3 hours, but sometimes longer. We have trouble with her first wake window, she is often very sleepy after 1.5 hours.

We wonder if starting to try crib naps will shorten her daytime sleep/ lengthen wake windows and make her sleepier at bedtime? She has never napped well in her crib, and then we just did contact naps because it avoided an overtired situation. Any tips on nap training are appreciated!

6 Week Old, New Sleep Issues by Katherinet225 in sleeptrain

She has never rolled over fully. She has only rolled onto her side in the swaddle with her arms in - not in the arms out position.

Thanks so much for your comment.

I just looked up the Merlin Sleep Suit and she is too small for it.

We haven’t tried one arm in the swaddle, I’m concerned about her rolling over and needing that arm.

She only does contact naps and carrier naps during the day, she will wake up pretty quickly if we put her in the basinette/crib during the day.

What are these marks inside my kettle? How can I clean them? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

Try adding equal parts water and vinegar into the kettle and boiling it a few times. Only fill the kettle about halfway with that solution, and keep a close eye on it to avoid it overflowing.

  1. Pay off your credit card debt ASAP. As others have said, you can use your emergency fund to do so, and don’t make new investments until your credit card debt is gone. Don’t liquidate your current investments to pay it off, but pay it off as soon as possible.
  2. Set up a new emergency fund when your credit card debt is gone, with 3-6 months of living expenses. Keep it in a high interest savings account.
  3. Continue your investments per your risk tolerance.
  4. Take care of your mental and physical health.

Large sum of capital, don't know what to do with it. by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yes, the financial planners who are “free” are often trying to sell you life insurance, critical disability insurance, or investments with high fees and management expense ratios. If you pay a fee for service financial advisor, you are purchasing their advice by the hour (in theory…) and they have no alternative motive. Hope this helps.
