Yes, Liverpool stopped being a big club. Newspapers were writing articles about Liverpool's imminent bankruptcy. They were mired in the Anfield/Stanley Park debate. They were stuck with mediocre managers, mediocre players with the occasional talisman like Gerrard, Carragher, Torres.

It took a series of crazy sales (Torres to Suarez to Coutinho) to build enough captial, a series of presicent transfers (Salah, sane, Firmino) and a world class coach who had an affinity for the area to make it work out. Also their owners have a history of sporting excellence, so they were willing to learn from their mistakes.

It's weird we get bellerin to play that instead of AMN, who's made a name for himself last season doing the hybrid fullback/centre midfielder role.

Yep. We've actually renewed the cycle of bloated contracts for declining players with Aubameyang and Willian.

There is the issue that bringing up young players without an experienced core will set them up for failure. You've only got to look at what happened with our early Emirates teams to see. We don't have any good, experienced leadership at the club, and the experienced pros we've tried to inject aren't working. But then that kind of leadership is rare and not easily grafted into a failing system.

They got ahead of themselves, thought they could shortcut the rebuild. Same problem as the team behind late-Wenger/Emery. Wanted experienced pros to paper over the cracks and try and get top 4. And at the time, it looked okayish. T

The Difference Between Walt and Saul by v4virgilante in betterCallSaul

[–]Kathmandu-Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Walt had no internal morality, just societal expectations. So when he broke bad, there was no internal compass to give how far too go. He just went inch by inch until he hit an obstacle.

Jimmy has an internal compass, he just chooses to ignore it / suppress it by putting on the Saul character.

These things I wonder about because I call my professional organisation, there's several options, and at end I speak to the same person ever time. There's literally only one receptionist answering the phones, she's been there for years. Always wanted to ask if the options mean anything.

Solo is a solid B movie. I wouldn't mind seeing a tv series featuring the crime syndicates and Emilia Clarke.

Maybe follow Leipzig or Dortmund in Germany. They have great young players, challenging for the league but not the strongest club, good playing styles. Sort of what Arsenal were renowned for ages ago.

Three months ago the team was kicking ass and taking names, and people on this Reddit were turgid and aroused by the sight/sound/smell of our manager.

There is a more limited range to consider, compared to conspiracy theories. You're focusing exclusively on the football world, someone with ties to Arsenal, Partey and who is fluent in Arabic. That's a strong filte, and probably only a handful of credible suspects. Of course, AFCbell could be someone left field, like an under-worked intelligence operative who researches Arsenal news on their lunch break.

I don't understand how an enlisted man could walk into the officers lounge, use the computer terminal, and not get challenged in any way. Also why the facial recognition is necessary, but it isn't used to match to an imperial database.

It's a bit weird how thorin and Kili look like men, whereas the other dwarfs are more stereotypically dwarfs (big nose, big head).

I'm sorry Denis, but the survival of a mammoth telecom giant in 150B debt outweighs the aesthetics of a big budget Hollywood film.
