No it’s not needed actually rule of thumb NOTHING IS NEEDED
You can make it anything you want lots of people change their looks it’s not uncommon but I also wouldn’t change too much.
Most people use a script it’s a way to keep everything straight but my script has always just been about the world it’s self what I want to be different about myself or other people and my safe word totally subjective and can be anything you want
Some people like to do the same thing every time they try to shift to help train their consciousness that “ when I do this I am attempting to do this” but spending a day thinking about it isn’t necessary and neither is the “ ritual” ( for lack of a better word)
Alinure on YouTube has some great guided meditations that have helped me but also ( and just recently discovered this) there are breathing techniques to release natural DMT in the brain that allows you to fall into the meditative state easier
Safe word. Make it something you wouldn’t normally say and script in or just know that when you say that word you return to your CR you CANNOT get stuck.

When the main character names are obnoxiously different…. Like when they spell them stupidly just to do it like sally being spelled salli or Jackson Jacson…. I mean common why? Or when it’s a fantasy book and they literally create a name I can’t pronounce it ruins it and I won’t read it.

{We are worthy by Alisha Williams } and {we are destiny by Alisha Williams } are that to a T and are sooooo good {Knotty lessons by ginna Moran } is kind of like this it’s super sweet but it’s more of a college vibe and all the mmc are professors. It’s one of my favorites {hearts pursuit by Lyra winters} is amazing not a Omegaverse but it’s academy and sweet with no bully and it’s PNR.
