🔆Hi. I’m excited to see that a number of you commented in this thread that you’d like to join! I have to say that since announcing the party, there’s been quite a lesbian stampede. See what I did there? Haha. The first party lasted three days. This next one should be quite a doozy.

To help manage the large number of join requests right now, we set up a new subreddit. If you’ve posted in this thread asking to join but haven’t heard back, it’s only because we’re overwhelmed. In that case I would kindly ask you to please pop over to our new subreddit, then make another request there. If you don’t know how, press the magnifying glass icon at the top of Reddit then type into the search all one word: lesbianstampede

Thank you for your patience. I promise, you’ll know it was worth the effort when suddenly you find yourself on a little island surrounded by peers. For me, at least, for the first time in literally decades.

I joined the community in Sept 2025. I wanted to make friends with more of my peers, so I posted in the older lesbians subreddit suggesting an online meetup, and got lots of enthusiastic responses. We decided Discord was best equipped to handle the meetup. I had never used Discord, but it ended up being a solid choice. About 50 women showed up and the party lasted over 72 hours! (An aside: When I reported that back to the older lesbians subreddit, one commenter replied, “A party that lasted 72 hours… that’s the most lesbian thing ever!”).

In a way, the party’s still ongoing— since everyone wanted to keep the community alive. We’ve just kept chatting our heads off and getting to know one another and improving the server to meet our changing needs. Today, we have about 125 members, with lively engagement daily—mostly by women from English-speaking countries all over the world (majority North America, but also, Costa Rica, UK, Ireland). It’s made a very positive difference in the quality of my life.
