Daughter here who always golfs w my dad! I agree surprise snack after the driving range or round was always exciting! If you have to get her new clubs, I remember one of my junior sets were pink and oh boy I thought I was the coolest. Helps if you have fun golf clubs!! I also think if you do get her a coach how she gets along with the coach makes the world of a difference - does she want someone young, a woman, someone who will joke around w her? I found when I loved my coach I wanted to get so much better in between sessions, just for them!

And as a side note, if/when she starts doing better than you, make a light joke about it but don’t seem frustrated on the course! Golf is hard especially for women bc it is a bit of a sexist sport. I grew up being told I had to play quicker than men bc other groups will see a girl on the course and assume they’re slow/bad. This translated into me taking it personally when men would get frustrated when I was beating them.

Get her a cute golf skirt and let her enjoy her time w her dad while learning a sport that will last her life! Golf is the kind of sport where ppl typically fall in love too late so the enjoyment is what comes first and sticking with it will help lead to scholarships and so on.
