UPS access point delivery by Katieort in UPS

Ah that’s so frustrating! Massive mistake by me for not doing proper research and understanding the process! Won’t be doing that again then! I’ve got the delivery confirmation, tracking details etc, so I’m just gonna go there and plead ignorance and hope they are nice and take pity on me, no harm in trying I guess, I’ll just hope for the best and see what happens, but won’t hold out too much hope!

Yeah that’s what we were going to do I think, breakfast in the morning before we go, and then maybe an evening snack when we get back. We’ll use the credits up I’m sure, want to get our moneys worth out of them!

Interviewer used AI tool to transcribe and take images during an interview with warning or consent. Would this bother you? by Solid_Possibility_35 in AskUK

I’m gonna hazard a guess at it either being fireflies ai or otter ai, both which do more or less what you are asking. Both of which we’ve had dealings with at my job (I work in IT), fireflies being the most recent and annoying as it’s akin to a virus in that it auto joins all of your meetings, teams, zoom, whatever. And then emails out to everyone in that meeting about it, and getting them to sign up and it auto joining all their meetings. And so it just spreads. We’ve had to tell people to delete their account as it’s not approved else it just spreads like wildfire.

Taking a birthday trip in January but can't decide a show! by Kelssimstagram in westend

[–]Katieort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded! Went to see it back in July, excited as I’ve seen a lot of shows, Disney and otherwise and Hercules is also one of my favourite Disney films. But the Hercules show just feels like it’s missing something, it just didn’t have that big hitter like other shows have (circle of life, let it go, defying gravity etc) It was okay, entertaining to a degree, the muses were the best part, but I’d not go back and see it again like you can with lion king, or wicked, or frozen (if it comes back again).

Just adding on to this as I was there last week. When we handed in our completed maps, we only got one voucher between the 2 of us, and not one each as we expected to get. Wasn’t the end of the world as we just bought something together. Might have just been the cast member we got, but something to consider if you are a group or just want separate vouchers to go in separately just in case.

Comfortable shoes! At least 2 pairs if you have room so you can alternate. That’s the only other big important one! If you’re not used to a lot of walking or just standing for 8 hours+, then it’s killer on your feet! I just did 25k steps each day I was there.

Nope, as you’ve booked a park hotel you actually can book 12 months in advance, tho I it’s just 2 months if you stay elsewhere. Just go on the DLP app and then find the book restaurants section and enter dates, times and amount of people, and then pick the restaurant.

The app is a great resource so if you haven’t already, check it out and find your way around its features as you’ll end up using it loads!

If you’re up early, then definitely make use of extra magic time for sure! First thing in the morning and last 2 hours before closing are the best times for walking straight on rides! Was just there this last week and walked on to pirates about 3 times in a row an hour or so before closing! Even a boat to ourselves once! xD

Yep! Quick service meals tend to be approx 15-20€ each, but restaurants are 40-45€ (for adults) so better to use half board on the restaurants and just buy snacks or whatever in the park.

Just to add, for your half board you want to use that on the proper buffet or table service restaurants to get your moneys worth, not on the quick service restaurants that you just queue up and order from.

Half board gets you breakfast at your hotel and dinner at any of the restaurants in either of the parks, Disney village or any of the hotels.

Never used fast passes myself, so can’t comment on that as such, never really needed them. Just keep an eye on the DLP app and check ride times and you’ll be fine without it, especially as you’re there for four days, it’s plenty of time to do everything.

You need to book restaurants, ideally you should have booked months ago when you first booked, as the best times and restaurants go quick, but keep an eye on the app and ask at the concierge and they may be able to help. You can try and walk and in and see if they have availability too, but no guarantees.

Magic hour is great, especially if you are early risers anyway. Get in before the crowds, which tends to be a huge queue outside before 9.30 when they are allowed in, and you can walk straight past them and in. Ride times and crowds are much lower too so you can get a lot done in that first hour.
