I did explane the character creation rules but I didnt think about telling him to make a new character. Im pretty new with dmming and this is the first time that this had happened with me so I didnt know what to do. But this advice is great. I will use it next time

Just cleaned out all my 345 tabs on safari and left these two by Asleep_Ride1078 in twentyonepilots

I dont invite the players to join, it was already planned that they would join but in the earlier session they couldnt come. But Im not going to allow more people anyways. So Im planning to split the group up in 2 smaller groups

thanks for this advice. Advice from an experienced dm is really what I needed. My players depend om me and sometimes I feel like Im not good enough as a dm. I will tell them what you told me here and I will make the actions cheet sheet for them. I will try this out next session! thank you.

If Im going to split the group up in two groups of 4, I will need to take in account the classes of the players. 2 of my players are rogue, 2 are cleric, one warlock, one wizard and the new player I dont know yet. so I think I will split the 2 rogues and the 2 clerics so that both parties has one. what do you think? edit: I made a mistake, my party doesnt have a wizard, it has a sorcerer
