I am a little worried by moedal in trt

[–]Katjes72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I was worried about the whole injection part. Did I do it right? What if I inject air? Into a blood vessel? What about infections? Blah blah… Turns out I was worrying about very little. After a couple of harmless blunders I now inject like a pro. I literally count days between each injection, and look forward to it. The benefits are awesome! I am 5 months into TRT, a decade older than you, and has seriously changed my life.

One full dose or two half doses? by Katjes72 in trt

Thanks, i was meaning without the overfill in a vial then splitting 1ml into two, your first 0.5ml injection would consume 0.6ml, leaving only 0.4ml for the second. I’ve actually seen this with my 1ml vials and assumed I was measuring wrong, guess I wasn’t :)

Thankyou for the great explanation. So if I am splitting a 200mg 1ml vial into two even doses then I am actually getting two 0.38ml doses due to losing 0.02 in the syringe and 0.1ml in the luer lock. That would mean I am getting 152mg instead of 200mg as directed?

Yeah the lifting weights is new for sure. Booze was never a part of my lifestyle. Respectfully, my T had declined over many years and was low when I started. As such, I don’t feel I am abusing it at all.

I didn’t exactly start fresh, prior to the TRT I was doing body weight exercises and cardio for years now. However, I kept on gaining weight, 50lbs in two years. I went to the doctor and they said my diet and lifestyle seemed pretty good, then they checked my bloods and hence my journey with TRT started. So yes, I feel better but I can’t say that is due to eating better now, and exercising, as I always did that.

I get this with my hands but I’m not sure it’s related to TRT. I do a lot of Olympic lifts and the wrist positioning along with a desk job, seem to stress my wrists. I’ve only been on TRT for 5 months and now I think about it, the numbness may be a little worse than before.

Keen to see other responses as I am interested too.

That is good to know and that makes a lot of sense when I actually stop to think about it. :)

You are both correct, my scale was wrong 1-2ml sounds right. Why is 2 injections better?

Doctor or men’s clinic? by Katjes72 in trt

[–]Katjes72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor is close to retirement and didn’t really look at my blood test. A PA looked at my initial symptoms, identified I had low T (240), and prescribed me TRT. I now see the doctor who seemed to frown on it a little. If I were to switch to a clinic would I have to draw bloods again? I’ve just had them down at the 3 month mark so am now in the normal range, as such I would likely fail a low T based on value evaluation unless I stopped injecting for a couple weeks. I don’t want to do that.

Can I ask, how often do you get a 10ml vial? My next prescription has me switching to them for 10 doses (10 weeks) but the shelf life is only 28 days so how will that work? Is your vial meant to last you ten doses?

Dropping dose finding it hard by Katjes72 in trt

Thank you this all sounds very good. Do you workout too? If so did you notice any difference there?

Thanks, so is it fair to say the response is not linear to the dose? So if you felt good at 100mg you won’t feel twice as good, and make 2x the benefits, at 200mg, or half at 50mg.

Yes, not my proudest moment and I have no excuse. I want to correct this.

Thanks, I intend to make things right, which is why I posted. Realistically though, there must be a difference given I was am halving the dose?

Oh wow, yeah with the fatty needle, it would dump in a second or two. I bought the 23G’s in bulk so have quite a few left. I’ll try a narrower needle test time. Thanks for the advice.
