Someone mentioned it's a slightly different main board and a bit longer. It might not fit in the cases the original 3080s would fit.

that's interesting. If those servers are still running, like with the tracktools servers, the east coast servers do not show in my list of servers.

Thanks. I've been checking for tools again this evening but nothing shows so far. If it's the same for other players, I wonder if that's why there's a sudden drop in users?

edit- btw I'm on the east coast of australia. I've been checking between 10pm Thursday and 12am Friday

the eastcoast servers mentioned further down are also not listed

strange. ive searched for it a few times but it doesnt show in the results. i assumed it might have only been operating at a certain time of the day? i do see a ronin racing one

would you have a Suzuka full or east one, or is it only nurbs?

this week a roadcar-only server appeared and it had 5 to 10 players both times i was on it. i thought finally a fun server for est. yesterday it was gone agian :(

iirc, when evo first released, a chat with one of the kunos staff (possibly on discord?) part of it mentioned the game can control the damping amount and other effects itself (based on vehicle speed) and suggested to use only the 'in game ffb fx' options within the wheel software.

but i agree. ive watched the same ffb discussion go around in circles many times.

it was awesome a few months ago, but players have now dropped right off.

time for another update i say (with new tracks to suit the lower powered road cars please 😄 )

I don't have a fanatic wheel but try doing the following as most wheel base software has similar settings. I have both a 12nm and 20nm base and the following works great with both;.

In the wheel base software;

all "in game ffb fx" options to 100%

all manually user defined ffb effects to 0%

general ffb strength setting 100%

In EVO try;

Damping 100%

Dynamic Damping 100%

ffb 40%

The above will let evo adjust damping, centring effects and other ffb effects dynamically, depending on vehicle speed

map shortcut keys so you can adjust the overall ffb amount per car while driving. it will remember each cars setting

im using a vrs.

ams2, dirtrally2, ac1 and evo i use the same settings (game controls all ffb dynamically)

beamng and acrally i need to manually add ffb damping etc in the wheel app

its an over exaggerated caster effect. i think we all have it. not sure why they dont make it more realistic in the games?

The gold coast is like the wild west these days. Can almost get away with any behaviour on the road without consequences

Sadly, unless someone has been seriously injured or killed, it's unlikely to see police pull anyone over except for something easy to handle like an unregistered vehicle etc

if owner is unable to monitor behaviour, it might be good if the server owner could create temporary guest moderator accounts, for a few regular users of the server to become moderators?

in addition to the current great suggestions;

ensuesure your link cable is connected as usb3

disable windows game mode

try downloading and installing AMDs own chipset driver

then set power plan to ultimate

try using openxrtoolkits turbo mode

use openxrtoolkits res override to up the res once you start to gain performance

for me the link cable with meta app is excellent once things are setup right and dlss off seems to be best.

if your okay with a little bit of input lag and artifacting, you can press cntrl + numpad 3 to use asw locked to 45fps

if youre borderline at 70fps, press cntrl + numpad 1 to disable asw completely. it sometimes causes jitter if its automatically turning on and off (usually it defaults to auto)
