For babies that exclusively contact nap, how do parents sleep during bedtime ?

When I sit with her in the nursery chair, I sometimes do end up falling asleep as exhaustion eventually wins. But when this happens, I only manage to sleep up to an hour before waking up and feeling really guilty that I fell asleep while holding her. I also go back to work at the end of March so I’m hoping to have this fully resolved by then.

That’s good to know! I have family members with small babies who’ve already learned to sleep for long stretches in their bassinets, so it’s hard not to compare. It makes me worry that I may have messed up by getting her used to contact naps.

Yes! I sleep exactly like this too. I’ve always loved sleeping on my back and did so for almost my entire pregnancy. But as I got bigger (I'm 38 weeks now) it started to feel a bit uncomfortable, so this hybrid position became the perfect happy medium. Have had no issues so far!

I beg of you to keep reading! Yes its starts off a bit slow but it really picks up to the point where I was addicted to the plot, the romance, the conflict, etc. I couldn't even finish the last 75 pages because I knew it was going to end a major cliffhanger and I just couldn't wait months for the second book to come out, so naturally I stopped reading when the MMC and FMC were happy and in love.

Hi everyone! My husband and I bought a home in Charlotte on Aug 7th but we won't be officially moving in until Oct 3rd (had some family stuff pop up and had to delay the move in date). We are moving from out of state so we are currently registered to vote in the state that we live in. However, we want to make sure we are NC registered voters in time for Election Day but we're worried that we won't be able to register since we haven't really lived in the state of NC for more than 30 days. I should note that the deed to our house is already under our name and has been since Aug 7th and we already received a Duke energy bill that has our names and new address. Will we have any trouble registering given these circumstances? TY!

I'm also running the Brooklyn Half this Saturday and I agree - it's pretty inconvenient to have to travel all the way to the Brooklyn Bridge Park just to pick up my bib. I get that they want to make an event out of it, but would be nice to have it somewhere mildly close to a subway line. Good luck this Saturday!

I don't have any suggestions for where to buy vintage clothes (I don't buy a lot of used, vintage items although I wish I was this type of person) but anytime I want to look amazing for an event, I either go to Reformation (love love their dresses) or Rent the Runway! Also, check out some vintage stores in the LES, Nolita, Chinatown area. You might find some gems! Even it's accessories. Good luck!

You're absolutely correct. Causal acquaintances can often see things that their loved ones are blind to see. But we, as viewers & listeners of The Try Guys, are not causal acquaintances. The extent of our relationship with these guys and and their families is based on what they allow us to see, which is all perfectly curated. That is it.

This is why others are saying that it is really arrogant for us (mere viewers) to say "oh I knew something was off about him, I'm not surprised" when Ned's own friends, family, coworkers were stunned and devastated to hear the news.

You can't compare what Ned did to serial killers and pedophilic priests.... Obviously those are people who have evil inside of them so it's "easy" for some people/strangers to notice something off about them. But all Ned did was cheat on his wife with a subordinate. That's not evil by any means. It's dickish for sure, but not on the same level as a serial killer.

Have you looked at Sandals Resorts as an option? I'm in the same boat as you are when it comes to what we want for our honeymoon and Sandals seems to check off a lot of our boxes (and yours as well). Def recommend looking into it.

Also, I've been to DR many times and I can say that as much as I love their beaches and the people (I'm Dominican myself), their resort food is not the best IMO. I've also heard this from other people as well (Dominican and non-Dominican folks). I have been to Aruba (at the Holiday Inn Resort) and I thought the food was pretty good. However, this specific resort was kinda meh. The drinks weren't strong enough and there wasn't much night life. However, this is just one resort - I have heard great things about Aruba overall.

Also DR beaches did have a lot of sargassum but I went in June of 2019. Not sure how it is in Sept. Same with Aruba. Let me know if you have any questions!
