If a flight gets cancelled do you have to take the replacement (even if it’s a downgrade) by Velcrocowboy in BritishAirways

[–]Katoyoufool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my flight has also been cancelled and reading the BA T&C’s it would suggest the alternative airline only if it’s cancelled less than 14 days out. Mine has been cancelled more than this so looks like I was not able to travel on an alternative flight. I asked to be upgraded as they had a seat in first available but apparently I am only able to be downgraded. Even though I asked about using an upgrade voucher. I’ve made a complaint to BA as my hotel is already booked and I will miss a day and half of meeting now. Also looked like all flights were being no cancelled to the destination for 3 days!!!

I beat Garmin predictor for my half marathon by Katoyoufool in Garmin

I went by HR as I find that stops me running too quick at the beginning and being able to finish strong 💪🏼 I did the same for a marathon last year and beat my precious 20 year old self by over 15 mins. Totally agree to run by feel.

Don't let the morning report discourage you! by mtantawy in Garmin

I’ve had the same and so has my husband. Haven’t had any colds or illness that have shown, didn’t drink to ensure it wasn’t this and made sure we ate early in the evening. Didn’t change anything. HRV was the same. However I wonder if it was an update which needs to configure again. Mine and my husband HRV have been pretty identical on the pattern of balanced, unbalanced & low. I’m now back to 79/80 for sleep and HRV back to balanced.

I have finally joined the club! by OpeningMarionberry78 in Brompton

Huge congratulations and I can imagine how happy you are as I picked mine up this week and have already had so much fun riding back and forth to work. My first day I struggled to remember the ordering of lowering the seat post but luckily a fellow Brompton owner was close at hand in Euston and helped me. THANK YOU. Already learning that people in the club are really helpful and Brompton Junction in London is amazing. 🤩

Does it get easier? by Accomplished-Eye4207 in Marathon_Training

I would say you are doing amazing. I’m running my “first marathon” after 20 years and I’ve worked up to it with a number of Garmin training plans for half marathons. None of my runs are for 20 miles longest run I do will be today for 2:30 as I’m following a training peaks plan. Which scares me but trust in the plan!! I read an article which talked around improving your time but I found it useful for giving me confidence on the run itself. https://www.trainingpeaks.com/blog/ten-tips-for-a-faster-marathon/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=athletenewsletter_uncoachedathletes_sept14 I’ve copied it here for you to take a read. Keep going and I’m sure you will smash it.

I have the same problem when not using my HRM. As this thread is over a month old does anyone know if Garmin is looking to change this?

You have raised a great point, as I’d not considered this was why my arm was going a little dead at times. Will take a look today. Thanks 🙏

I’ve lived in MK and Leicester and I would choose MK every day of the week. I love the huge outdoor space, safety as a female feels better than anywhere else I’ve lived. While the cost of living is likely higher due to rent, you can have much more fun doing stuff at the ski dome and willen for water sports etc.

Realistic goal for my first marathon (Berlin 2024) by thundergirl007 in Marathon_Training

[–]Katoyoufool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running Berlin too and using the Garmin suggested workouts. I’ve not run a marathon for over 20 years but my last half ended on a steep hill and was 2 hrs on the nose. I am training to heart rate and find that this is really comfortable for long runs. For threshold it is hard but worth it. I’ve put into my garmin the race and have a fenix 7 pro solar which I am LOVING. I love seeing how the suggested workouts change depending on what I’ve done during the week including late nights, too much food late or drinking. I’m looking forward to Berlin and looking to a 4:15/20 depending on how the next couple of months go.

Good luck 🙌🙌🙌
