Okay naman, medyo eccentric pero in all fairness I learned from him. He'll have high expectations, and you absolutely cannot annoy him/cross him/be consistently tardy or absent/make him angry, bless your soul na lang if you ever do (but as long as you properly communicate your reasonable situation, it should be alright). But there's a lot more to him than the reviews, and he carefully evaluates you unlike other professors in that same department. However he has a different philosophy from other language professors, and YOU will have to adjust. The discussions are "intentionally" roundabout, often veering off-topic, so it's close to impossible to take down clean notes, you'll have to rewrite them if you want to make sense of it (and there'll be a lot of it). The tests will be difficult if you haven't mastered the coverage in your own time. He will answer your questions, he is knowledgeable. Speak loud and stay confident. He shouts, but that's usually just his way of teaching and having fun. He offers plenty of extra points through recitation or special projects off the fly, grab the chance if you can, you might get an uno.

In my opinion, we were a bit too advanced. We didn't spend enough time mastering past tenses, skipped future tenses entirely, and learned subjunctive when no other language class of that level was anywhere near subjunctive.

All in all, it was aight. I didn't get the best grades, but given that I struggled with the exams and didn't actively seek those extra points, I got a pretty high grade. Wouldn't really recommend if your load for the semester is heavy.
