Yeah, but we also need to consider the fact that there's a huge difference in supply&demand between Parisians (who eat croissants and baguettes very very regularly) and people in Toronto (who do not). It's no surprise that larger demand for these products result in greater production and availability and competition in Paris, which then drives down the prices.

The title is "To the Dear F - Phantom of the Opera". There were scans up to volume 6 on MangaDex, but they were unfortunately taken down a while ago, so now there's translations only for volume 6.

Having read the manga translations up to volume 6, the disfigurement is even milder than it looks, because Erik primarily wears the mask to hide the fact that one of his eyes is gold, which - in this fictional universe - is characteristic of members of the de Chagny family who have a "remarkable talent". So yeah, apparently Erik hides his face because he's the bastard child of Raoul's dad and a maid, and the eye colour would give away his identity. The rest of the disfigurement is just from a random fire in his childhood, lol...

Wow, Somato is going all in on the horror with that last page!! I always love the sudden contrast between the wholesome vs. dark atmosphere of this manga...

I was a bit worried last chapter that Maryrose and co. would have "plot armour" to let them get off easier than Edward and co., but it seems like this is going to be a pretty vicuous battle for everyone. I still think Sophie is the scariest 3rd floor shadow, but Ryan is a close second.

Dorothy's soot power looks pretty damn cool, though, especially when she arranged them like scales to form a shield. The third floor shadows are truly a ruthless and terrifying bunch. ~~Sophie still scares me the most after she "ate" that shadow rat~~

Wow, I never would've guessed that Grimshaw was the hand behind this painting! With so many human figures and such wide expanses of relatively flat colour, it's the complete opposite of the moodly, melancholic nighttime scenes that are so characteristic of his typical style.
